Does anyone know where I might find one? I've come across a few male ones, but the only female actresses I have found work on larger scale projects. I'm not after too much, and can pay. Any suggestions?
I don't think there's any women on the internet either

Post what you need done and I'll ask my wife if she is interesting in helping. However, she may not be what you have in mind, nor be willing to do it.
I've had the same problem before, so I feel you pain. You'll have much better luck asking on a voice acting website like http://voiceactingalliance.com/board/forum.php You could also trying posting on the newgrounds.com forum.
Since you are offering to pay, that's a plus, but you need to be clear about what needs to be done and how much you are willing to pay. Good luck.
I wasn't really expecting anyone from TDC to be able to do it, I was just hoping for some links to profiles or websites that may help out - Thanks for that link and offering to help!
The kind of voice I'm after is that which will represent an Ancient Egyptian Goddess - A strong, seductive, slow voice. I have friends in Australia and Canada and all the girls who live nearby me has very thick Yorkshire accents... I just can't see them working out (as they've no experiences as actors)
So yes it's quite specific, and I'm not actually sure what I want to be spoken yet - That's why I was hoping to see some examples of work on a portfolio or something. I was considering short sentences like in The Sims (words with no meaning) or just some grunts/noises like when talking to characters in recent Zelda games.
I see. Well, I'm sure you can get some help at VAA. I haven't been there for a while, but when I did go I was able to get help, and for free too.
You should make a post there detailing what you need. That is, you should think up and write down what needs to be said in advance. Since they are doing you a favor, you want to make it as painless for them as possible. It's also less of a headache for you too.
You should ask the voice actor to say each line at least three times, that way you can pick the one that fits the best for your game. It also limits the email tag; voice actors normally do all the given lines in one go. Having to go back and redo lines can annoy some.
Also, don't rush and pick the first one that replies. Often a better one will turn up if you wait a few days.
Thanks, I'll be sure to come back here and re-read your post before I submit anything as you've covered some pretty important things there.
I'm not ready just yet, but I'll probable be asking about 6 short sentences, maybe a laugh and shout too. How much do you think people would expect to be paid for this? It's worth pointing out that I'm planning to release the final product commercially, at the usual AppStore price of something between £0.69-£2.00.
I'd rather get someone who knows what they're doing really. They probably have a better voice and understanding of voice action, and *hopefully* better equipment.
I don't know any voice actors on a personal level, and it's been a while since I've been to that site. The rates very from person to person, and some people even work for free. Most are open to negotiation, and those that are interested in your project may charge less.
Just saw this so I'm not sure if you're still looking for a voice actress or not.
I'm a professional commercial voice-over artist with over 10 years of acting and improv experience. Send me a message through here or my website and let me know your budget.
Thanks
Alix
Haha, didn't think you'd actually work with a random stranger who just signed up onto forum for something 3 months after asking. But her portfolio site is really good.

Oh wow, that's quite a gap. I seriously felt like only a week had gone by from starting this topic and settling on someone. Time is going by far too fast..!
