I've been looking around the internet for a couple of days and its so hard to pick. Im looking for headphones. Im not sure if I should go for more balance or for more bass but if you want to know I'm more of a bass person ( I listen mainly to hip hop,rap etc). Now I dont mean I dont care about the highs. As long as the treble and mids are of good quality and the bass is v.good-excellent its fine. Now money isnt the problem but its best if its under 500$ as Ill probably end up breaking it anyways . Aslong as I know im paying for something that I can use for the next couple of years without my ears complaining after the first 10 mins.
Im going to use the headphones both inside and outside. It would be a good thing if they would be at least kind of stylish and not a huge piece of plastic on my head.I prefer black by the way.I would mainly listen from my android phone (xperia play).Im looking for something that will last me sometime and not something were the thing falls apart (lol my friends headphones for like 100$ + just fell apart when he was using them and they were only like 2-4 weeks).
Oh and I don't really want them to be celebrity headphones.Like for beats by Dr. Dre you probably just pay 100$ for the 'Dr. Dre' .
It would be nice if they have at least some kind of insulation but its not necessary. And if the cable wasnt longer then 1.5m (I once bought headphones were the cable was 5m , and it wasn't detachable!). They can be Bluetooth too. Also if they were 'closed' or whatever you call it (When the sound is only hearable like with the headphones on and not 'open' when you can hear the sound from 10 meters away).
As I said I would be using them both inside and outside (walking, travel, cycling etc) so it would be nice if they were durable.
Oh and it would help if you told me your opinion if you already had the headphones your suggesting. Its not all about the specification but also about how they are in normal use.

I know you're looking for some high-end headphones, but I'm not experienced in that area.
However I must recommend Apple's EarPods. For $30 they sound pretty great, and I've used them for hours on end with no ear pain. I understand that not everyone has the same experience though.
I'm sure someone else here can recommend something more along the lines of what you're looking for, but if you plan on spending $500 anyway might as well give the $30 pair a try as well.

I realise this is a late post, but since there are no replies I thought I'd throw in my own 2 cents.
My personal experience is nothing beats the ol' sennheisers. They have a good range of headphones and they are of excellent quality. So I'm sure you can find what you're looking for.

Sennheisers are amazing.
If I were you I would stop by my local Best Buy (or whatever equivalent you have nearby.) They should have a few acceptable headphones on display from different brands.
Since you like Bass you may want to consider headphones with Bass boss. Skull Candies or Sennheisers would probably be your best bet.
