In my new game, I've noticed that the entire program stutters for half a second within the first couple of seconds into a frame. I might expect something like that when you're loading an object as needed, but I don't have anything like that. Do you have any clue what would cause that?

This is a perennial problem with using MIDI music. If you have that playing, then it's likely the root of the issue.
As far as I know, there's no workaround this unless you use a fake "loading" screen at the start of the frame.

I have no midi playing, but adding an artificial delay may solve the problem. I'll try that out. Thanks.
