I'm on everyday for a minute or two. The sites been getting about 6 downloads a month though. I decided to try to
make a few short games of my own, but I've just started a HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) class.
The class is drainin' ma' brain for now! So, I'll have to get back to those games some other day. I'm still hoping the
holidays will bring a few good short games from other members though.
ahh, so im not the only one with multiple projects going. but hey, lucky me i work in a liquor store, plenty of time to work on games. i get to work on my hobby and my job at the same time lol.

I'm here almost every day but I don't comment as much as I probably should. Maybe we should all agree to be more productive around the site to bring it back to life.
I agree with nim. curious question, can a regular user (such as myself) set up a competition and have the winner posted to front page or are the mods the only ones who can set up competitions?

I'm a "regular user," and have set up a number of competitions based here at TDC. All the tools you need are here, so just go ahead and do it.
I do strongly recommend you drop a line to the admins you've seen as active, requesting they post something on the front page. It may help with publicity, since forum threads can be buried quite easily. Stay in contact with them through the process so they know it's ending and if the results have come through.
I also wrote an Article regarding starting compos here at TDC that might be useful should you be seriously considering it. Read it and hopefully it'll be helpful.

Good luck getting anything onto the front page, but I like the idea of a competition. The Buswick and the Zodiac one were too long for me to commit to but I'm always up for a short ~1 day competition.
Ill check it out S-M-R, sounds like it will help me out. and i think short competitions are more fun than the long drawn out ones anyway. Keep an eye out then peoples, cuz i might organize one here pretty soon.

I'm on here everyday, mostly to check on the forums!
It would be nice with a new compo, not saying that I would enter it though, cause I'm bad at finishing my games But nice initiative!
I like "game jam" projects. Short one-day or even half-day-or-less time tables are really entertaining to just jump into.
It's a short segment of time commitment. There's no bad feelings if something doesn't look as good as you might like because there's not a lot of time to do artwork. Some surprisingly creative stuff can come out of these "short spurts" which is all most people have time or inclination to work on anyway. Finally, you actually have something to show for your two hours or whatever of sitting at a computer.
I'd just recommend that you post plenty of lead time on any event, so that those who actually want to follow-through with such a commitment have enough advance notice.
I agree with s-m-r. Their is nothing to stop anyone from organizing competitions on here.
I have given some thought to what can be accomplished with out administrators. And to be honest i think it's possible to do a lot even when they are inactive. I mean if we as members really wanted something like we see on other sites. Just as an example lets say a hall of fame.
What's to stop the members from making a list of links and putting them online and calling it the hall of fame. Granted it wouldn't be under the create-games domain. But does that really matter. As long as all the member recognize it as the official list then it is.
My point is sometimes i think we forget just who this site is for. But I've gotten off topic I'll stop
good point pan tosser. there really is a lot we can do without them, and sort of have to as of late seeing as most of them have been in active. who, currently, are all the admins? cuz my front page seems to be displaying them incorrectly. it still saying OMC is an admin, and he said hes not been one for years.

It's getting rarer for me. I have been posting updates on my Youtube playlist of Click games on a forum thread somewhere.
But other than that not much, except!
maybe i'll be working on a big project soon and i might even make a new project blog on here for it.
Every few days, but I've been busy with work related things. I have a few projects going for myself and one with OMC. I've been hard pressed to find time for it though.
Once a month I think, sadly. The site just doesn't do anything anymore that takes up much space in my mind. That and my life being busy and a mess, the only hobby I've spent any significant time on lately is writing music.
Honestly, I wish Rikus would pass the baton to somebody with enough free time to reboot the site.
I love coming around to offer help when I can, but logging in depresses me. Every time, I'm reminded of how this site USED to be - how busy it was. Adding content to the site kinda seems pointless now, so I only log in once every couple of weeks. I'd be on here daily if there were a consistent community in the forums, but we're just a bunch of oldbie regulars who check in once-in-a-while.
