https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/97046746/Raycasting_Horror%20Engine%2BExample.zip
An Engine/Example for 3D Raycasting. Originally done by distro, based off his engine.
Includes Examples like:
-A monster that roams around an area, chases you sometimes.
-Locked Doors that can be opened with keys
-4 Monsters
-One simple puzzle
-Notes/Texting System with Item invetory
-An obtainable weapon to shoot and kill 2 enemys
Notes:
RayCasting Map editor crashes on some windows operating system.
So far known to work with windows 7 versions.
To get to the map editor Go to the Raycast Extension's properties and click Editor to open
the 3d level (.rcm map file) and edit it(or create a new one)
This was an old experiment, but a new release for an example so its probally real sloppy.
Alot of Events like the enemy/collision depend of the Active objects in the frame editor which are based around the layout of the level. Layer 3 is hidden, press ctrl + k to reveal the layers, and uncheck it.
Also works with fusion 2.5, and includes a Sprite pack for ideas.
Nifty stuff & MFAS :

The last time I looked the raycasting extension wasn't freely available. Has that changed?
This looks really good, I'll have to look into it.
