I signed up on this form so I could try out other's games. But I've been thinking, I've been using Unity for the past 7 years, and I think I could try something fresh, should I try to make a game on Clickteam Fusion 2? Do you think the transition will be smooth, or will it be difficult for me, I'm a very experienced programmer, and pretty good pixel-artist. I don't know much about clickteam fusion, so will it take a lot of time to learn the basics? Thanks for any answers

And also a side note, I can't afford to buy the full version right now. So I'd have to use the regular version, is there any HUGE limitations, or anything that will stop me from doing anything that's a big feature.

the only limitations are on the free version I'm pretty sure not extensions which is sorta good by that I mean you need to find your own way to make platform movement or thins like that. What language do you code in? Also fusion 2.5 is a logical hard game development tool that require thinking and devotion so If you want to make games and are willing to make some failed attempts then yea. To learn the basics it will take a week but to be a intermediate programmer could take forever I am a very basic programmer but to learn simple things like platform movement is fine I would recommend asking for help or watching tutorials! The transition will be sorta smooth as if you have published any games or worked on some games you know the stages to game design . Good luck, on your journey and did you learn about the daily click from 3kliksphilip?

Well Fusion 2.5 isn't designed with 3D in mind.
I'd say the best thing about using Fusion 2.5 is how quickly you can get something playable up and running.

It won't cost you anything to give it a quick try, so go for it!
I will warn you that it isn't like regular programming though. It's GUI based.

I've downloaded Clickteam Fusion Free Edition, but it seems like I can only export to HTML5 is that going to be an issue?

That's up to you to decide. I didn't know they had that limitation, but I suppose they're trying to make it easy for new users to share their games on multiple platforms.
The native runtime obviously has been performance, but the HTML5 runtime should be good to get a feel for fusion.

If your project file is compatible with the standard Fusion 2.5, i'm sure a friendly member of TDC can save it as a normal PC .EXE for you.
