I think you are right! I wish I had at least ONE CLUE why this would be so. It has been years since 2017! Why the HECK will they not give us more updates? Should not the program be nearly done by now!? What is the real issue, anyways!? I have never seen anything like this with ANY company or ANY software development except with RPGds. WHAT GIVES!? Something is wrong! I hope we can get just one clue during the month of June.....
I've been looking forward to Fusion 3, but to be honest, it doesn't really concern me too much that it's taking forever for it to be released, and besides, I'm more happy with using 2.5, and even if 3 gets released, I'm not sure if I'll upgrade to that or not.
I'm confident that it will eventually be released, but I doubt it will be any time soon, and it may or may not be worth the wait.
To be honest, I'd be using Construct 3 already, if not for the subscription payment model. As it is, I really don't do much in the way of game development these days, and if I start, it will probably be using vanilla Javascript and WebGL2.
Honestly, not releasing Fusion 3 was probably the best idea. Other game maker software like Construct have already adopted features like vector graphics support, skeleton animation, and basic 3D. If Clickteam were to release Fusion 3, it wouldn't offer anything new. I'd suspect Clickteam suspended release until they can introduce more unique features.
ChrisD> Employer: Say, wanna see a magic trick?
ChrisD> Employee: Uhh… sure, boss.
ChrisD> Employer: Your job! It just disappeared! Pack your things and leave! Pretty good trick, huh?
If you keep adding features to a program before your release it, it will NEVER be finished! If they were to release it and then make any improvement that they think should be made, we would at least have it AND could look forward to the new features. Speaking of 3D, why could they not have given Firefly a good world editor and included movements, like the ones that come with the normal program!?
WELL......It seems that F3 is back on track..... If you go to Clickteam's site, sign in, and do a search on Fusion 3, you will see some information indicating that its development got restarted...... I have my fingers crossed......
This is a wild guess…..but I think, and hope, by the middle of 2023 we might hear something about F3. However something tells me not to be too surprised if it comes out no sooner than 2025!
Eh, I am not too invested in Klik for anything serious. Other editors work better for professional use, tho I still go back to Clickteam for nostalgia purposes. As a hobby, using Clickteam products is a lot more fun to me. I am not expecting anything too powerful or mind-blowing with Fusion 3, so I can certainly wait.
Could you please describe the other programs that you use? I would like to look into them. Also, I just wonder why after about eight years there is still no Fusion 3 and why Clickteam is keeping everyone in the dark about it. Just about any other company I know gives updates. For example, the makers of Game Guru MAX always gives updates.
