They are all differant versions of online things.
moo/moo2 differant versions of the same extension. (not used much anymore)
moogame/mooclick - for use of online games/applications.
moosock - to connect to a port and send recieve data. Somebody made a msn one, which signed you into msn. Very cool.

~MOO1 came out first. It was free.
~MOO2 replaced it, with a few more functions such as object tracking, etc. It was commercial.
~MOOClick was the next one, and the start of a new MOO series with much more power and customisability. Comes free with MMF1.5 I think, but must be bought otherwise.
~MOOSock came later, this time allowing you to host your own servers, create much more versatile networking applications, and do much much more. Again, free with MMF1.5, but must be bought otherwise.
~MOOGame came last, if i recall (the orders of these last three may be a tad off), and is more tailored for games. This one must be bought.

MOO and MOO2 are older technology.
MooClick and MooSock are free to use.
MooGame simplifies MooClick but costs money.
There was a deal running a while back with MMF 1.5 and MooGame, but I dont that's still going.

Yes, it's possible to make an online RPG even with the first MOO, let alone MOO 2.

Its possable to make full blown RPG's in MOO/MOO2, but if you use MMF, you get MOOClick for free, not exactly sure if its commercially free as in, you can sell what you make with it, but if its not, it should be, because its like impossable to contact 3EE anymore, let alone buy MOOAPI from them!
