I mean, excuse my immaturity, but this can be interpreted OH SO many ways, and if you have an dirty, immature, head-in-the-gutter type mind like myself you can't help but think...Oh, what's SC or Weston L getting at with that...And i'm not here to put ideas in peoples minds, although i probably already have them thinking...
Do you just mean in general...say in sports, or for writing?...Cause you know these polls mean alot to me!
Oh...BTW...you'd better take a look at the results at the moment, cause I swear that only 1 out of 10 people are left handed...and true ambidextrous people are even harder to come by...

Perhaps some of the people who selected 'left handed' are actually right handed people who interpreted the question in the same way you did. After all, it's best to leave the dominant hand free to run the mouse when. . . surfing. On the other hand, no pun intended, there may simply be more left handed people on these forums. I heard once that being left handed was tied to having a creative mind. Seeing as we are all artists and creators, there may be a reason that the proportion of righties to lefties on this site is lower.
That Ratio looks correct. Left-handed (such as myself) people are rather rare today.
It was proven that if the right side of the brain is stronger in a person they are generally more creative and musically inclined than those with the left side dominant.
The left side of the brain is better at more practical things, such as math, science, and common sense.
Hooray for the lefties!
A long time ago (ten thousand years ago, I believe), there was about the same number of left-handed people as right handed people. Today it's almost a ten to one ratio of right handed people to left handed people.
Hmm.. my eyes are hazel... most people forget that the eye color exists...

left\right handedism isnt necessarily carried in genes. if you practice using both hands equally then you'll be ambidextrous. so it really depends on which hand you used when you were a baby

The reason there isn't as many left handed people around, is because back in the day when they acused woman of being witches, they also thought left handed people were evil and stoned them to death.

"If Darl McBride was in charge, he'd probably make marriage unconstitutional too, since clearly it de-emphasizes the commercial nature of normal human interaction, and probably is a major impediment to the commercial growth of prostitution."

this place sucks but don't tell anyone, it's our little secret, ok?
"Left-handism is a recessive trait I think, some people carry it in their genes and it may not appear for many generations down the track."
who says left-handism is genetic? It probably just depends on which one you use the most as you're growing up. Left handed people usually copied the behaviour FROM their parents, thats why it seems to run in families. But if a left handed guy were to switch to right handed and get 10+ years of practice with that one too, he'd be just as good with that hand (I guess)

im a proud lefty also... i hear that once upon a time in old skool classrooms they would tie kids left hands behind their backs so they would have to write with their right hand because the left hand is the devil!!! just like foozeball!!!
I read from some site about Japanese history, and it says that in Japan a long time ago, left handed people are sometimes killed on the street, as their katana(sword) hung on the right side bumped into angry bystanders.
And I think that it is possible to train to be an ambidextrous, I know people who tried and tried till they can use both hands to write. It works, I tried it myself... just use your other hand and KEEP WRITING!
