Sometimes i dream in 2D computer games or cartoons. I sometimes dream about drawings i've done, and a while ago i had a dream about a 2D sidescrolling Wario multiplayer deathmatch! Last night i dreamt about some wierd Halflife-Maxpayne cross game aswell. Do you guys ever dream in cartoons or games?
Not to do with games, but last night I had this sweet dream where me and my mates were a pack of vampires, and we tried to rob a bank, and the SWAT team came in and they were like shooting at us, but we were vampires, so we laughed it off, and massacred the whole bank. And my girlfriend was squeamish and wanted to die, so she tried to go out into the sunrise, but I stopped her and we lived happily ever after.
I've been using computers since the old Commodore 64 we had when I was about 4 years old or whatever. I seriously have trouble telling the difference between real life and computers. It's good in some respects because it makes me more adventurous (I'm like "I may as well try that, if I die I can always load my last save") which I seriously think to myself sometimes ¬_¬

when i was younger i did dream about getting a copy of sonic the hedgehog and it was really different to the actual game
it was just a small brown hedgehog in a cave with platforms.
I had a dream last night where i was in moving down a motorway on my hands and knees going really fast!
then a car gave me a lift with some people including the american president and one of my friends.
then my freind got out and they we drove away leaving him in the middle of nowhere.
Apparently, dreaming is a kind of mental defrag process. The things you do in the day are stored in temporary short-term memory. When you sleep, your brain 'lifts' this information out of tempmem and into more ordered long-term memory, as well as grouping similar concepts together. As it does this, some of the data seems to float over into your conscious sector, thereby creating dreams. That's why dreams can seem so disjointed and odd - because all the conflicting ideas of the last day or two are wizzing around in your head and being filed away in longterm memory.
Because of this, you'll be dreaming about whatever you fill your mind with the most. If you do a lot with computers, then you probably will dream about it.
With me, i sometimes find myself dreaming about computer game characters and situations, and when I was more into comics (up to when I was about 12), then I also found myself dreaming in cartoons now and then, lol.
Oh, and Shadowcaster: I know exactly what you mean. I find myself making a mistake when drawing or writing and automatically looking for the undo button, LOL!
I had a dream last week that Hagar Technologies made driver 9 X-).
It was reaaly cool, many TDC people was working for me and my mates (high Up) and i was playing the game. It came with a steering wheel and seat you sat in. It had a clutch peadal too and a full sized gearstick and speedo, and when you crashed solenoids made the seat jolt really bad.
andy, sonic WAS brown. i have over 100 Sonic The Comic and i know the story. Dr Kibotniks lab was a bit of a cave so what i dreamt was basiclly true. If any1 wants to know how sonic was blue and dr robotnik came in just ask
Sure go ahead, and you can change guide your dreams, since whatever you think will happen, always happens in a dream, its like "putting more stuff to be filed for long-term memory" as that kid said.

I was back in 2ndary school, and the pop duo TaTu were performing in the school hall, where there were about 1000 people watching. They then all gradually left the building, and then TaTu started to screw up their song, unprepared for that. I was the only one left watching them, and they suddenly started treating me like their best friend, kissing me and such. It was a cool dream
the only time i remember tails being super-sonic speed was the sonic program on TV when tails had this addon to be as fast as sonic. but in a comic i cant remember
well, once I had a dream that I had to walk in a maze and then I fell in a hole! Not very cool. I know I've had cooler dreams, but I can't remember them... well maybe tomorrow!
i had a dream once where the whole town where i live had a massive team deathmatch against massive monsters.
this was after playing unreal tournament all day.
it would be just cool if we could record dreams, dont you think? oh, Dines, i've also made the undo thing, , it's annoying when you realize that you can't correct the mistake that easy,...
I used to dream in game-style quite a lot, but it's gone down again now. Since moving back home I've had very strange dreams just about every night, though - the highlight was when I dreamed I was back at the Donington Festival... but I was Agent Smith.
Anyway, about games spilling over in to reality - yesterday I was watching Tim Henman win the tennis, and I kept thinking "Use the auto-serve!" when he Faulted the first one.
I'm sure I have an issue or two of the Sonic comics somewhere in the attic. I think I actually remember the storyline as well. Why can I remember that and couldn't remember 20 amino acids for Chemistry?

I've acctually had a bullet time dream before. I had a switch that i could flick, to go in or out of bullet time. The only prob was all the colours went funny when i flicked the switch.
I remember in a dream I saw myself fighting this mutant grizzily bear. It was weird cause It was like I was the camera. I had no control over the "ME" that I was seeing.
Heh, don't worry about that Kirby smith......ive....also had a dream about the sailor scouts....a dream that I wished happend in real life. I wonder if they are any people in RL that actually look like them...
I've also had a dream that I was this warrior and I was with 6 others. We hade to fight thes Demon this. It was first person until I got killed. Then I became the camera and I could see myself lying there with a game over sign appearing.
Yea....dreams are weird...but I wish that I could choose when I have dreams......like a dream machine or something. Id spend all day in a dream

PS: Dont expect the best graphics.
Once I had a dream I did a 900 Shove-it...and just the other day I had a dream I was in Grand Theft Auto 3 and I was in the Mafia enjoying myself, then I was ambushed by a rival gang(can't remember which one) so I hopped in a car, found a gun under a tree and shot at the ambushers...my brother said he heard me say "die" when I was asleep, probubly around the time I was attacking them. Also, "if" you could "record dreams", they would be backwards, as in flipped(left right)...and i'm sure the dream wouldn't seem the same as you remember it. If you think about it, dreams are pretty insane, the way they operated. There is a thing called "lucid dreaming", but I dont know if its healthy or if it even works, is, if you become aware that your dreaming in a dream...you can them manipulate your dreams, If it was even possible, but I doubt it, you could actually change a dream into a game. I recommend you guys dont try it though.

I've done Lucid Dreaming before. I've done it about 10 times. It's awsome, nobody belived me though. I never do it on purpose, but sometimes i sorta wake up, but i don't open my eyes. Then i go in and out of the dream, until i reach a state where i am in the dream but concious. Then i can do all kinds of things. You can't do anything completely awsome, like turn on bullet time and tell guys to attack you.
But you can do things, like pull weapons outta nowhere and blow crap up. What i'm trying to say is, you can manipulate what you do, but you can't manipulate your enviroment. So you can't decide to go to a shopping centre when you're in the mountains.
I didn't know this was that uncommon, i'm gonna check it out on the net Eric. Thx.

Ok sorry to triple post here, but its an awsome topic (all this lucid crap). When i ever had a nightmare, I used to sit in a corner, grab my eyelids in my dream and rip them forward. I would do the same in realife and then that would wake me up. I think that must of been lucid dreaming too.
actually...In the dreams I told you guys about a while ago, I did lucid dreaming. I could partially control the dream...sometimes it didn't work and most of the time I did.

Ok, here goes my theories on the matrix and dreaming...The Matrix, is the dream, the real world, is the real world. When you become aware that your dreaming, you can bend and shape the matrix to your will. Nothing to that great of an extent though. "Freeing your mind" is the phrase for when you free your mind, and believe anything is possible in a dream. In a dream, if you doubt for even a split second that something will happen, it usually will.(if i saw a box and thought a cake was inside, there would be). Of course, thats just the way I think.
Assault Andy: There are many website about it, and many techniques to know how.
1) Look at your hands, if you can move them, than your partially aware
2) Try and create something small, like an apple,
3) Then, if it was possible, try to change the enviroment
I tried to do this for a while, tried to have a dream about Legend of the Zelda: The Wind Waker. I tried to fall asleep thinking about the island with the lighthouse, so when I dreamed the enviroment would already be there. That would be sweet though.

I have mild insomnia, therefore i generally don't dream.

Daniel - It's Lucid Dreaming not Lucy X)
Eric - K cool i'll try that.
Last night i tried to lucid dream on purpose it didn't happen though. Before i went to sleep i kept on reciting in my mind "This is not real". Didn't work though, after reading tuts and exercises.
I just had some dream about being a secret agent and blowing crap up, then getting in trouble for killing to many people so i ran away. Then i woke up thinking..... where the hell did that dream come from, i hadn't been .... o wait i was playing Return to Castle Wolfenstien demo.
