I just have to say this, I dont care if this topic is goin' to be deleted or not (I know there isn't something like freedom of speech here).
I have the feeling that there has been an invasion of stupid people in this community.
I got more than a hundred DC messages from people asking me to learn them how TGF works, who didnt even read the manual/help file first. Most of them are untalented, cant even speak proper english (I admit I make some mistakes too sometimes, and are just annoying and keep asking even after I politely ask them to shut up.

and then there was some a$$hole who said "fishhead only posted the return of fishhead for winning the GOTW" (I dont recall who said this but I bet it is some 11-year old untalended geek who downloaded klik&play from some warez site)
Yeah, there's a lot of stupid people. The least you can do is to direct them to where they can get help - eg in the TGF manual or on the boards or Clickteam. n00bs will be n00bs. Get used to it.

I agree with you fishhead, there should be a test that determines if you become a member, but then again, their probubly really wouldnt be any people signing up...

Fishhead; We all have our bad days, and when it seems like there is lots of idiots around, it is quite often just a few that are annoying beyond recognition. It can quite often be solved by telling them politely that you either do not have the time to cope with their needs, or would much appreciate them using proper english.

as I said, Its not the newbies I hate. good newbies just go here and learn alot till they are not newbies anymore. But I think you need brains to be able to create games, and some people just dont have that.

I agree with fish head, im a newbie - i hate being considerd a newbie, i come here to learn and soon ill be educated, theres many people like me on DC..... but i think some people just come here to be annoying, they struggle to use ms paint but think they should be able to knock games out within half a hour of picking up a click product. The people your talking about who send you 100s of mails and give everyone greif are the same people that go in chat rooms and just insult everyone, yes they are probably childern and hopefully they will grow out of it.
I also think their is a lot of jelousy around, I have noticed a lot of people who have had sopmething wrote bad about their game, so they have gone to the person who wrote that coments games and wrote the same thing about their game.
Im new to dc, i like this site but sometimes you do get a little frutrated at some people, but then again thats the same with any active web site.
Keep a eye out for me in the future i wont always be a newbie, and one day withing the next year or two when im all educated and i have learnt to draw better im winning a GOTW award ... Hehe

Anywayz, the fact is you can join freely
and spam everything (although some thins have a
certain protection against it, 4 articles a day).
But still you should be able to join, in order
to get some help for your game, so you can't block them
in that way, but there should be some kind of protection against.
I made not have the solution, it's cruel and inhuman.
The member rating is completely different than the skill of the user. Often a lesser skilled member will submit as many as 10 games and instantly become an expert. I am rated as a newbie because I refuse to release poor quality content. Perhaps some time I will release an article though.

If you're a noob the best way to act is to not be brash and to be cautious. It's best not to even be a member for the first few months you're a klikker, it'll prevent you from submitting your crappiest games, and it gives you times to look at how the forums work.

Lol fishhead, luckily I don't have the problem of noobs spamming me coz I haven't released anything good in ages lol. But I do know what you mean about the stupid people thing, especially when they'll say things like "should have had a custom movement" and then they won't do it themselves.
It's fine telling the person how to improve the game (or rather being nasty about it), but if they can't follow their own advice then they should keep their mouths shut

Unfortunately people are always going to be asses on here. I went through a stage where I'd had enough of all the people like that and just left. It'd be nice if all the vicious comments could be deleted, but it'd take the admins years to sort through I'm sure

ect... ect. I even got one guy, that was in LOVE with the Yeah Guys, he said he smokes pot everytime he plays it and plays it for hours. He never mintioned who he was playing with... (2 player game) lol
Even still, I get the odd letter from a newbie wanting help. I enjoy helping them if there emails are some what readable. Dont pay dummies the attention fish, your attracting more! lol

Fishhead is not a newbie, we have some history together. On the iklik-it board, I had 800 posts, and he had like 500 as I recall, but that doesent really prove anything. Nobody is saying fishhead is the best, but take his games for example. As far as gameplay I will make no comment, since my point is his detail. He IS one of the best game gfx desighner that I have met on the net. And that IS why he was on FKT.
Summary: Fishhead is a good clicker, nothing more.

It has taken me ages to read all of these comments. If there is a problem with the minority or majority (that cannot be concluded)of n00bs then it should be notified to someone in a higher position expressing your views, saying how you would like things to be in the future and how you think they should be dealt with. I feel that if there is a growing concern for the ammount of "BAD" n00bs then they should be taught how to behave in the community b4 they are allowed to come in. It could be a informal way of showing people how things are run here such as ...
"We reccomend that you have at least 5months experience with your clickteam product. Here is the way things run around here.....blabla good and nasty n00bies ...blabla spam... blabla critique etc"

you know what I see....3 topics that right now are ruining the community. Sheesh..I see people in this and other boards using names related to professional companys, but do you see them coming out of nowhere saying "hey you can't use that name" or "Hey.stop making fangames of us" (actually that happend once.I think it was DBZ or somethin).
Just chill. I can understand being angry that someone used your character in their comic(s)...but I wouldn't go all super crazy elite about it. I would be happy if someone like a game I made THAT much to make a comic or a game based off of it.
