Dudes, please bear with me. I have a really big problem with making video games. Every time I start a game, the farthest I get is, at the most, one level. I have always gotten bored, and gone onto something else which gets cancled as well. I have no idea how to solve this problem. Please help! Im going nuts!

Make a collection of 1-level mini-games.

Everyone does. I finish i think about < 30% of my games. And i only keep making them if they are a challenge usually, or something i am having real fun making. Like the mmorpg i am making at the moment is a challange for me, and it's fun because i can customize it to my will, and i'm learing alot from it. So that's why i am so invlolved in it. Don't worry about a few bad projects, eventually you'll get glued to making a super game.

i takes a really good idea to keep some people going
but making small games may help you out if you get bored really quickly.

Well, you most likely need "need to do this" motivation in order to get past one level. That type of motivation, while not very fun (and definitaly not as fun as "spark" motivation) can make you work on something for a long time.

I've finished 6/~42 games which means I finish 14.3% of games....
I always finish the engines though, I just get stuck on making the levels.

Rapidflash is exactly right, that type of motivation is what gets a game done.
