ripping something usually means copying it/using it from something that you havent created, so i would say yes, it is ripping. (not that ripping graphics is bad, it's just that you can get sued if the people are eveil, or if you are not allowed to use it without permission)
But MS Word allows you to use them, otherwise they wouldnt be there in the first place.
