because the object you chose to create might not be present on the level, that would create a bug. not sure about music/sounds though. probably the same thing.

TGF just doesn't let you do it. However, MMF does.

1. It's really easy to make the interface just like TGF
2. Why do so many people have a problem with it? o_O

I've given the trial version a chance many many times, but it always scares me away. My biggest problem is the picture editor. The one in Tgf rules, but in Mmf, it's just pure crap. And when i try to import stuff from either files, or tgf (by copying and pasting), it's just weird.
But many other things in mmf has just been made in a stupid way. Like the "thingy explorer" (don't remember the right name). It opens a whole column instead of just a little box, taking up heaps of space even in a 1280x1024 resolution which oughta be enough.
Apart from that, i think 99$ is insane for a product that (mostly) only can be used to create already outdated products.

Picture editor: I found it difficult to adjust for that, but then I realised it's not that different from any other paint app... I don't use it often but I haven't got problems importing from PSP - in fact, it's probably easier to do in MMF.
Project Explorer: Doesn't take up a lot of room, horizontally. I have 1152x864. If you only want a little box, undock it. If you want it visible but not taking up a lot of space, dock it at the top below the toolbar. That's why it's customisable.
I can't believe you think 99$ is an insane price.. go ahead, buy a 'proper' game maker or Flash MX for 500$ if you want. Take 3-6 months to learn how to make a game with half-decent gameplay. The price you pay for MMF Standard is insane (in that it is worth a lot more)!

Get a resource editor and rename 'Frame' to 'Level'
It already looks like the one in TGF.

yeah, you're right about the price... and as i get older i get more money so amounts like 99$ seem like less and less etc.
And another great thing is, that in my country (denmark) it's the goverment that pays students for getting educated, not the students paying to get educated. That way i can both get an education and have a job at the same time and earn loads of money, even though i'm just 18

You're quite right. The interface in MMF stinks to a significant degree.
TGF is way way way way waaaaaaaay easier and more pleasant to make games in, but as much as you mightn't like it, it helps to have MMF on the side. For our current game we're making all the objects in TGF *first*, then we'll export it into MMF for coding and logic (which is where MMF is more feature-packed and far less buggy).
