The rules are simple: Create a game with a Halloween theme. Maybe some game with a witch, pumpkin, circy , skeleton or any other spooky character? Maybe some Trick or Treat simulator? It’s up to you. File size limit is 3,5 Mb.

I think a competition site is a good idea. At the moment nobody here said that he is going to join so a competition site could fix that problem.
Last year I started a Halloween Competition. I made some nice site for it and then I realized that I wrote “Combo” instead of “Compo” and some people told me that nobody joins competitions because they are stupid. So I screwed the whole project before I even made it public.
Well about that „win thing“: To be honest you can’t win anything real.
There is no MMF 2 version that you’ll get when you won.
Maybe you’ll get some award that you can put on your home page but that’s all.
Now some of you might wonder why the heck they should enter such a competition?
Let me ask you some simple question: Why do you make games?
Is it because it’s your hobby and you do it for fun or do you make games just for profit?
This click competition is (like all the other competitions excluding the TDC competitions) just for fun. Enjoy making a game. That’s the spirit. Good luck everyone. I hope that more are going to enter this competition.
ive already started a halloween type of game called Skelletor. ive drawn all the GFX and laid out the first level. ill send you a pic over MSN if you want masterM.

What a coincidence. I've just dug up an engine I made six months ago and forgot about, and started making a horror game based on it yesterday. I've got really important exams coming up though, so there's not much chance of me finishing it by the 30th.
Zombies Now might be finished before Halloween, so I could enter that. Except for two things: One, it will be about 50mb, and two, when I said Halloween, I meant Halloween 2007.

MasterM: A guy named Richie, drives home from the universary on Halloween, with three of his friends. A strange looking guy(The Creeper) stops their car, and kills his friends, but leaves him alive. After that Richie is closed in a Psyichiatric Institute, the Silent Memory. After the cops investigate the place, they say, that Richie is the killer, and he is Insane, and has to remain in the Institute. Strange things happen in the Institute, until Richie is there. Next year at Halloween, Richie hears screams, he goes out from his room, and find's himself trapped in the institute, where monsters roam everywhere. He must get out. (The graphics are very bad, I think... they are too small... but the game will be playable, and at least pepole can complete it for the story... I think it will have a really cool ending.)

I've started on level 2 and made the intro and menus.
but looking at istvans game kinda puts me off my chances of winning.

cheers yuyu. im proud to announce my comps up and running, a big thanks goes to my mum for fixing it, had something to do with a faulty drive or something. during my little break ive had time to sit back and reflect on what Skelletor needs, and im proud to say it will now definately get finished.

the platform engine STILL has a major bug in it. anyone whose been testing and helping me with Skelletor i really need your help now.as my vacation is over i cant really on meeting you ppl on the net late at night by chance.
if the first levels engine is not perfect it is difficult to do much on the rest of the game apart from GFX. your help is appreciated and i still needed it just until this bug is squashed.

Well you put so much effort in that game and not many people did a game for that competition so it’s okay if I get your game a few days later.
First I thought that everybody could play some Halloween games on Halloween and ShadowCaster changes the normal Poll (Do your friends also click etc etc) to “Which is the best Halloween Game” but sadly he hasn’t replied to that TDC mail yet (Well I think I send him that mail more than a week ago).
Well we don’t celebrate Halloween here in Germany (OMG now you know where I am from) but because America is so cool and everybody loves it we also celebrate Halloween for a few years now. At the 21st of October nine kids were standing in front my front door “Trick or Treat”! There’s no Halloween here but if people like to celebrate it that’s okay. They just should celebrate it on the correct day ;P
Guess what I gave those kids. A calendar so they know when Halloween is.

Well I just got Brian_Kent’s and istvan’s game. So it seems that the others need some more time. First of all I want to know if ANYBODY would submit his game if I say the new deadline is the 4th of November. You should also keep in mind that you can submit an unfinished game. A competition needs 3 winners and at the moment there are just 2. So anybody who submits a game will be winner number 3. So come on guys

Okay, Done I had to shorten the game a lot to fit it in on time, short and sweet. Origional Music, Graphics, and Most sounds... (everyone note, I sent it to masterM a while ago, so the entry is valid)
To be honest I am a little bit confused. I send ShadowCaster some PM a long time ago if he can put up some poll for all the submitted games. He said that he can put up some poll on Saturday. I send him some PM which included a list of all the submitted games. Can anybody of you see that the poll is changed? I even didn’t get some PM of ShadowCaster what the reason for this is. I sadly think that ShadowCaster will never put up some poll for that competition.
So what should I do? If I am the only judge it’s a little bit unfair. So my idea is that I’ll open a new thread “Which game should win the Halloween Competition” and everybody says what his favourite game is.
i, and i think most of the other competition entrants were under the impression that youd be the soul judge in the first place, but its really up to you. use your discretion.
