Let me post your review of Fishhead 3 and slowly disassemble it and criticise your illiteracy, poor grammar and crap attitude.

Hmmm, let me guess... Natomic member? You guys are all total twats anyway, being a 'member' of the site does not make you, or any other Natomic members anything special. Natomic sucks, the forums suck, the members suck, the games suck.

Just because a website is new, doesn't make it better... Fool. What we have at Daily Click is an active gathering of like minded members, sharing their work, be it good or bad and taking the criticism and comments and trying to improve their games. The whole website functions well, it seems stable and well coded with quite a few member features. And WOW at Natomic you can create a tank... BORING

I think that the MP3's were actually made by Fishhead and contain some nice guitar riffs, but you won't apprecciate them, what with liking S club 8 and pop "idle".
Gameplay is ok, doesn't look like a custome engine. You should really study games like Sideswipe to see how a custom engine can really get your game off the ground. Games like Sideswipe have completely from scratch engines and you could learn a few things. I have no idea why everyone likes this games so much, probably because most of you are noobs.
At LAST I've been looking forward to this bit... Let me just say SIDESWIPE SUCKS ASS!!! It is seriously, so, so boring and dull. I can see the effort that's gone into it with, like you say, a "custome" (Should be "custom" by the way, noob) engine and nice sprites, but the gameplay... Seriously, very, really, dreadful. And I think everyone lieks Fishhead so much because it's original (in some areas), well sprited and one of the few 'professional' looking Klik games.
The graphics are ok in this game, they aren't fantastic, they won't blow your mind, but they look ok. It's easy to tell that this game was made with some easy graphix program that looks 3D, but isn't really 3D. If this game had some better features like 3D cut scenes and 3D images during gameplay, it would look much better. Right now its not really 3D, just a trick.
Easy graphics program?? Tell me a program that allows anyone to make sprites as nice as in Fishhead with ease? Why 3D cutscenes? You want to add about 10MB to the download size? And who cares if it isn't 3D and it is a trick? It still looks damned better than you could ever HOPE to do.
So the choice you make is whether to download a 3D mock game like this, or go looks for one with REAL 3D graphics like Entrance gate.
What is your goddamn obsession with 3D graphics? Let me just say NO 3D game I have ever played will ever beat Secret Of Mana on the SNES.
The point of this is just that when you are a NOOOOOOBB, this is ok. When you are ready to step up your game, look for a new place to post. This site is old and the games are stale.
You've extended that lame stand in for newbie rather excessively, if you insist on using that damn word 'noob' at least spell it correctly. Why would anyone, who is looking to step up their game post at Natomic, they are a bunch of wankers who love to criticise but really need to take a look at the CRAP they are producing.
The site is old, yes, but looking good. The games are great, I personally enjoy playing games posted by members here, whether 'good' or not so good. At the end of the day, I know that like me, the guy who made this game has been tinkering away with MMF or TGF and has the same passion for game development as I do.
Secret of Mana rocks the socks off all other games, and anyone that says otherwise will recieve a good smiting, Ashman-style.

The 'graphics' review category referred to 3d... the only 3d graphics in it are the intro sequences, so either the reviewer was so thick that they only took into account the few '3d' intro sequences, or they accidentally admit how good Fishheads graphics are by mistaking his shading for a 3d app, LOL!
Actually, I have an idea. If Fishhead 3 is so *obviously* a premade movement, and it's made in TGF, then why don't I hack the .gam and check the object definitions? If it says 'static', consider this reviewer publically ashamed.
The trouble is that in cases like that, when the review is obviously unfair and biased, if there's a good point in it then if it's deleted then the admins can easily be accused of "silencing people"... there's no way to win, really.

i must say i read some of this idiot's reviews, and "kilkreview"'s as well, and it's pissing me off too. what's happening to this place? where are the admins?
The problem with these guys is that they're very intolerant. They expect people to make perfect games right off the bat, and seem to have ignored any concept of learning. In fact, they seem to have missed the point of why we make games: because we enjoy doing it. Not so that everyone in the community can gawp and say "OMG BEST GAME EVER", but for our own benefit.
At TDC, there's a wide range of abilities. If you turn away the 'n00bs' there will be no '1337' to replace them when they're gone. No more clickers. Their group will become a wilderness, they'll be on their own. But then again, I don't think they would care, so leave them to fester. As long as they don't screw over beginners here I couldn't care less what they did.
It's because when chatrooms and BBSes started up, the vowels and common consonants ('s', 't' etc.) were already broken from years of programming/cracking so they had to use numbers instead.

Keyboard designers anticipated this, and made the number keys very robust and (on many models) added a keypad in the unlikely event that the numbers broke down. Also, beige was considered the most hard-wearing colour for a keyboard, and there happened to be a beige paint factory right next door to the keyboard manafacturers.
'mathemew' and the authors of all those other scathing reviews are NOT from natomic, heretic emu studios, or anything like that. They are only bitter little antagonists who are abusing the anonymity the internet offers.
He is being SARCASTIC where he says "go visit KLIK-ME and NATOMIC! They are real click sites!" and the like.
You are clearly too stupid and hotheaded to see this, "Red Crystal", and have no right to classify EVERYONE who is in or visits Natomic as 'total twats'.

the evidence does seem to point towards jannis. but come on, an email address means nothing. it's not as if nobody but jannis can enter his email address somewhere.
for as long as i've been reading jannis's posts on various boards, he's never once trashed anybody else's work. and if you're going to say that he's created a second user to trash peoples' games and not ruin his rep, which i KNOW was going through your mind... well, a clue left behind like that seems far below his level. and i know someone is thinking "well, jannis made entrance gate, and methemew points cites it in his article!" it doesn't prove anything.

LOL, OK so maybe I was stereotyping a little, and I take half of it back (NAtomic part). Not ALL of Natomic are twats, but MANY are. And not ALL of their games suck, just Sideswipe.
So there, I've fixed my errors, the rest I still stand by.
About the lack of policing on reviews: As far as I know, apart from the "New on DC" box on the main page there's no way for admins to see a list of the recent reviews on the site.
So, if you have a problem with a nonsense review that you've received, or find one on someone else's game, DC-mail me - I'm supposed to be on the "review staff", after all. However, remember the difference between flaming and constructive criticism - often I've had to leave a review that I completely disagree with.
the daily click doesnt have a team of people that makes games solely under the dc name. anybody can post their work here, even the other groups the diss it can and probably do post their work.

I think the moral of this story is 'don't generalise', there are many good Natomi & members of the forums and just because some of them act like arseholes it doesn't mean that everyone does. I'm a member of their forums too, and I haven't rolled in with my tank collection flaming everyone

I know its your opinion, but you can put that in a civilised way, or just shut up about it. I never said to you your gfx "suck" cuz of the grey colouring and crappy too fast 2-picture animations and pixels that shouldn't be there.

you just can't compare entrance gate to fishhead. It's a completely different graphical style, which doesn't mean one is better and the other's worse. Between someone who uses 3D-rendered (automatically, in a program) graphics and someone who draws them by hand, i'd respect the latter a lot more

i dont think this dude is Jannis now, but he wrote a perfect 10/10 on Entrance Gate (Jannis's Game) and Jannis seems to be gone at the moment (maybe on holiday or so)
I don't actually look for arguments and post argumentative material likely to cause arguments to to with natomic and TDC. BUT... When a natomic member (not referring to the idiot who wrote the review) starts labelling people solely based on their klik community preference then I get defensive.
Anyway, I was actually meaning for Mathemew to read what i wrote, reply and have a few comments thrown in by DC'ers, not a full on word war.
Dave C: if you think about it, most of the really good klik games released on MMF have been reminiscent of the 16-bit era (Eternal Daughter, anyone?). and nobody's mad at opinions. people are mad at attitudes.
EDIT: btw, Jannis has been hanging around Klik Me. It seems he created it because he was tired of TDC. So he's logically inactive in something that he doesn't seem to like.

This whole TDC rebellion is idiotic. There's nothing accomplished in this, except maybe an incorrect feeling of rightousness. All that occurs is destruction.
By the way, Jannis used to be a very important member on the Daily Click about three years ago. Back then he was known as Lightbringer.

Well, considering it's not really a ripoff of DC. Unlike DC, only mods can post games/previews/articles, they have different types of forum topics as DC and has a few different features such as interviews and devlogs.
Ok, personally if you hate a game you should tell them how to improve it, instead of insulting it greatly, we have our own opinons of a game such as Mathemew of Fishead3 and Chicken14528 of Fishead. Mathemew's opinon of Fishead3 was probably wrong in a few areas but correct in other areas.

Uhh, it isn't a ripoff. Jannis coded it from scratch, and the closest site I have seen to it is the TK, and thats not even that similar. Also, did you ever think that Circy might have made a news post about it because IT WAS A NEW FREAKIN COMMUNITY SITE? Thats kind of big news, you know.

Is hating fishead supposed to make it ok now? The reviewer didn't hate the game anyway, 5/10 is an average score, he never said that he hated it. At least it's better than SPIDERMAN.

I dont get the "hating" part. I dont hate ANY click game. There are lots of click games that arent fun to play for me (actually I only had fun playing Shima Bros), but that does not give me a reason to "hate" all those games. When I think a game is badly coded, ugly, or just no fun, I shut up about it, or I try yo give some hints.
Anyway, I understand the "fishhead haters", I made a game that was just a hangover of fishhead 2, I didn't realy pay attention to the coding, I havent put any new stuff in it, but the game was a succes on TDC. I think that is pretty frustrating for people who are coding and spriting the shit out of themselves and dont even get attention when they release their game.
About natomic, klik-me and TDC and stuff, I think they all rock, they are all different and good in their own way.
Personally, I agree with Chicken in that Sideswipe wasn't one of Brad's best efforts and I also agree that everyone should be allowed to express themselves freely about games. But, I'm too sure about the guy (Red Crystal) who made the comments about members of Natomic being twats. Not even half of us. It makes me wonder if he's ever spoken to us before. I can't think of a single member who I could warrant as a twat, fool or whatever.
Mainly because the people in Natomic aren't members because they make good games or have good skills at something, but because they share the same ideas as one another, can work well in a group, all get along with no problems and aren't people likely to go destroying the Natomic reputation.
I'm sorry if some of you have found our latest games a bit boring, but I guess that is something we need to address and I hope you find later releases more to your enjoyment. We're not going to stop making games any time soon so hopefully you'll find something that captures the imagination and that you enjoy in the near future.
And yes, I believe I did code most of this Daily Click as it is now - although I know Clubsoft and ShadowCaster have done a lot of work on it recently too. I am the one responsible for not turning the yellow forum box below the reply field blue too

I was not calling EVERYONE at Natomic 'twats'. And yes, I have been to your forums and looked at the spriting competitions and there are some VERY nice sprites on show by the members and the upcoming games look great. If you see my top 5 anticipated games, Spirit Engine features on it. And I'm not ignorant of talent, if I like a game I'll say, even if it was made by someone I hate.
BUT, about calling Natomic members "twats", I was using the same stereotype as the guy who said all DC'ers are "'tards" and the only reason I did this was because I guessed that this guy was a Natomic member. So I replied with the same iummature generalisation but reversed on Natomic.

All in all, I have to say, that no matter which klik community site you belong to, just remember that we ALL share the same hobby which is creating games/apps etc. with Klik products. Some people may be gifted, others not so much but remember at the end of the day we are all klik hobbyist's and should be showing each other respect and giving support instead of having pointless arguments, heavy words being so lightly thrown.
Which we don't care about anyway because at the weekend most of us go out and have fun and the name Daily Click doesn't even exist when I'm getting drunk with friends, yet some people seem to have devoted their lifes to klikking and all things klik like a buddha dedicates his life to religion.

It pisses me off that community sites have to have big wars against each other. I visit DC, Natomic, Klik Academy, Klik Me, etc, and I think they are all decent sites. I wish people would stop this bullshit about one site being better than another. There is no need to stereotype people either.

I find this whole thread pointless and amusing.
I do not seek for this argument to start over again, but I do want to clarify that the members of Natomic are not 'twats,' as you call them. There are two sorts of natomic members: forum members and real members. It is obvious that the Daily Click is a place for newbies to be introduced to clicking, and it is wrong to call them names for that, but I particularly haven't called names to anybody specifically, and I doubt that anybody (from the 11 members of natomic) has done so (except for Brad maybe). I try to help people that ask for it as much as I can. I even wasted an hour writing an article that will not, probably, be read by many and understood.
