I was thinking of starting a CS clan, im an average player and I am improving all the time.
Not many of my mates have CS so I was thinking if a few members from here want to create a CS clan.
The max members will be 10.
This clan requires:
1. a leader (just because I started this clan that doesn't mean I am the leader)
2. Sniper (someone who is good with snipers)
3. Website (how can a clan not have a website?)
4. bomb planter (although all the players can plant bombs we need someone who can place it quick and in a difficult place)
5. Scout (Spots nearby enemies and can report radio calls quick)
6. Players! (duh)
7. A Clan server (for praticing and our private server)
I thought we should call our clan something to with clicking/klik so "Click Crushers" for example.

i have counterstrike but i never got around to playing it... now i have ADSL, i don't see that it'd hurt. problem is i'm pretty busy with other stuff as well... hmmm... i might have a go. if you don't get anyone else, remind me again in a fortnight.
you can host a server easy but the name doesn't display for it and it doesn't appear very well on the servers list, makes us look cheap as well.
find a website that allows CS hosting.
we need a server to pratice on don't we?
i know but it was just an example. we can all decide for a name for our clan.
I have msn but i dont use it much.
Shadow Killers is a cool name and I like it... but that is an original name and think how many clans are called that.
I play online a lot of the time and none of the servers i join use v1.6
v1.6 is suppose to so bad that no one is playing it (Its because of the shields) so JonWog you dont need to get it.
But we still need a server...
i would like to be in but im not too good ...and i can do whatever needs to do sniping etc. but im best at being one of the first guys who jumps straight into the bullet inferno

I'll consider it, I'll have to leave MWS. But they don't appel to me anymore. I also have to get Gay gay very gay steam to work. I hate steam. and call yourselves the catastrophic clickilites. On second thoughts, don't.
I played it and liked it, and Im a natural at games, not that bad, but Im not sure about arrangements. I practiced till I could strafe and hit my spraypainted symbol with the
assault rifle thingy from 15 - 25 meters approx.

Lol, the assault rifle thing matters, cause different guns have different accuracy, but I think you might be talking about the AK cause it's an accurate slut.
It should work...but all i get is a DOS window showing up for abou 1/4 of a second (blink and you'll miss it like) then nothing...it still runs in the task manager though...am I doing it right?

I think for now, maybe we should all get The All Seeing Eye (do a search) and that can search for servers that aren't full etc. That way we can practice on a server
I guess we havent talked with each other before. Ive played cs like 4-5 years or so ... starting somewhere in the beta 0.6 or 0.7. Ive played it semi serious 1-2 years ago ... then things got a little repetitive and I stopped playing. Well almost ... Currently though I play it almost on a daily basis ... an hour or so, and I think Im pretty descent at it.
I may be able to run a cs server ... a dedicated one with a name and all ... but it depends a bit as my internet connection has been a little unstable lately ... other than that we should easily be able to played 12 people on it with good ping times ...
cool but i dont think you can keep it up always. If you look on a search for "counter-strike servers" you can buy servers that run all the time and advertise more. But who would pay for a server (im a student, no money)
If you really HAVE to have a server running always theres only one way ... money ... thats the reality.
However I still want to join your clan ... and I can still offer a server ...
Just a thought ... I cannot a server always ... but if we had more than one, we could cover more time (if that is very important to you).
Most likely though we really need our own server when we practice alone and when we play cw/pcw. The rest of the time we most likely play on normal FFA servers ... so it should not be necessary with a server running always really ...
although we can use MSN to know who is on and to have meetings but we will need a server for pratice.
I guess someone can just create a game, we dont need a official server straight away.
But we still need a name. After we have a name I will send a mail to all who wants to join and ask for their msn address.
Hmm... a CS clan, eh? I wasn't able to play CS online for as long as I remember, but now that I've found a way to get past the corporate firewall, I guess I can install HL and download CS. But I'm not gonna do it unless there's an actual Click CS Clan.
As for my skills, I'm one of the best at CS in my area, though it takes an hour of warming up for me to show it. I usually get heavily fragged in the first game of the day but get the top in my team for the next few servers.
I specialise in dirty shots to the back and ambushes . Not the lame camping kind, more of a 'flashbang and slaughter' or the 'run up from behind and shoot their heads off' type. I once took out the best clan in my area from behind while they were busy camping.
So, I make a fairly good defuser or scout. I use the radio fairly often and I'm pretty good at distracting people who don't have AP weapons. But I'm fairly poor at sniping. I could probably hit people at a range with a sniper rifle, but I won't be able to counter-snipe.

Theres a million better games out there. Counter strike is god damn boring and outdated, the only reason people play it is because its popular and 'cool'.
Ben i agree that counter-strike is outdated but it is not boring (like all games, it does get a little broing if u keep playing it). Counter Strike is a really good and addictive game once you know how to play.
I hear you've been handing out the BoNe$ server address to people, well can you not, as we suffer with the low amount of slots available already, thanks.

How about meeting in irc/msn/whateva to help each other figuring out a name??? Brainstorming together often brings better results than sitting each person for himself.
