I now have faith in Nintendo again after buying Mario Kart Double Dash (and f zero gx, worms 3d). I brought a gamecube the day it came out, and luigis mansion didnt last very long .
I played it all yesterday with mates before going for a few beverages. Bloody good game. We also played Mario Party 4 for ages, also a good mp game.
I've only seen the commercials for the game, and i think it looks like they copy/pasted MarioKart and added another character on each vehicle....i lost faith in Nintendo after they made the N64...i've never seen a console lag that much....though i must say i was quite impressed when i saw mario sunshine.
Zelda:Wind Waker is highly over rated. It takes the same gameplay from the older zelda titles and adds cel shaded graphics. Nintendo have forgot how to be innovative so they release the same crap we have come to expect from them. You all have to agree that Mario Sunshine was short, repititive and highly frustrating. btw Nintendo didnt make Worms 3D, it was made by Team 17 and published by Sega
like that really matters. Graphics mean nothing compared to gameplay. I'm not starting one of those graphics vs gameplay arguments again so back on topic
i got my gamecube for 79.99 from argos with luigis mansion. i almost finished it but my memory card corrupted.
its the first nintedo console i have bought other than the gameboy advance
i also own for it
mario sunshine
zelda wind waker
fifa 2003
sonic adventure dx
sonic adventure 2 battle
I also got Worms 3D, F Zero GX and Mario Kart DD very recently. All are brilliant...but the camera on F-Zero kind of stops the game from being a classic, and instead is merely great
Darkman Mario Sunshine even if it was relatively short to previous mario games it was still far better than most games out at the time. Talking of short games, you can clock max payne 2 in a night!.
Circy: shame its lan only, or i could beat you profusely at MK DD , jk lol.
I have yet to buy Mario Kart DD, but it certainly looks good! here are the games I own for my 'cube
The legend of Zelda: TWW
Soulcalibur II
F-Zero GX
Tony hawk's PS 3 - BORING
Mario Sunshine was easily a let down. All the levels have the same theme and gameplay. Collect the coins without throwing your controller at the wall in utter frustration.
Pkeod -> exactly right..it seems like in the nes/snes/gb days, they prioritized gameplay over gfx (donkey kong had awesome gfx but still an equally awesome gameplay), now it seems like they prioritize gfx over gameplay... which made me lose respect for them when they made the n64
Er... I'd hesitate to use your exact wording, dave, but....
AMEN BRUDDA!
I have a GC too, got A rank and 50 boos in Luigi's mansion within like 2 weeks.
I have
SSBM (AWESOMERADICALWITHFOURPLAYERSDUDE!)
Super Mario Sunshine (slightly overrated- but still fun)
Rayman Arena (crap, never shoulda asked for this)
Mario Golf Toadstool Tour (UNDER RATED- VERY GOOD
I reeeealy want MK DD and F-Zero GX. Which one is better, hagar?
im not loyal to nintendo sega sony microsoft or any devolpers
but almost everyone else seems to be.
nintedo do release updated versions of their games on each new console, but there is such a big time difference between them that it makes people want it more when its finally released.
ive had more fun with timesplitters 2 than any other next gen game and ive got it on my ps2.
Just my two cents:
I've been pretty disappointed in my GC purchases lately. I rarely play my PS2 anymore because the Cube's graphics are so much better, but there's not a lot of great games to play, and that's been the case for awhile. You either get good single player games like Metroid or Zelda, or you get good multiplayer games like MKDD. Single player, that game isn't too much fun. I can't believe they've never bothered to put some bots in so you can play battle mode against the computer, and speaking of battle mode, there aren't a lot of battle mode levels and their design is crap, especially considering the good design on the race tracks. I got that new Star Wars game recently, too, and that's pretty much a piece (yes, I know Nintendo didn't make it). Just really horrible controls compared to the PC Star Wars games.
Anyway, Timesplitters 2's still the best game I have for my Gamecube. It's fun against other people or against the computer, there's a lot of different modes and levels, and it was only $20. Still, it's a little played out at this point, and I guess Eidos has pretty much decided against making any Cube games in the future, so a sequel is not in the Cube's future. Too bad for me, I guess.
I dont think Wind Waker's the best Zelda yet i think Zelda Ocarina of Time is the best Zelda of all the time right next to Link to the Past for Snes, then Wind Waker the rest suck. (MAJORA"S MASK WAS A HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT!)
Gamecube isn't getting much games no more i think nintendo's going to go out of business if they keep this up

This is in response to the last post only. Do you really think that nintendo will go out of business just because of their gaming systems? Do you realize that nintendo is a major manufacturer in Japan they make many more things that just gaming consoles and games. I highly doubt that they would go out of business just because of their games and such. They make so much that most people are nto even aware of.
i own a lot of games for the gamecube some are great some not
Zelda Wind Waker, although wasnt as good as Zelda 3 for SNES or Links Awakening for Gameboy it had a pretty new and fresh idea.
Super Smash Bros Melee - the best game of all time
Dave Mirra's BMX 2 - for $15 at a closing down Wiz, it was a good buy - lots of laughs.
Luigis mansion - fresh new but incredibly short
thps3 - just like the original 2
thps4 - for some reason its a lil better than its predecessors
Resident Evil - UNBELIEVABLE, the remake nearly tops the original.
Resident Evil 0 - Okay, not the best, but okay.
Budokai - great if ur a fan of dbz, horrible if ur not
Metroid Prime - was good for a while, but now i cant be bothered
ive played Sonic Adventure Battle which is just brilliancy
and Animal House, which was also quite fun.
cant wait for MKDD to enter my hands
Its not enough,I need more
Not enough to satisify
I said I dont want it, I just need it.
To believe, to feel, to know I'm alive.
Knuckle deep beneath the borderlines.
This may hurt a little but its something you'll get used to.
Relax. Slip Away...
ocarina of time is the best zelda game, just face it

this place sucks but don't tell anyone, it's our little secret, ok?
Holiday.
You got wrongly accused
of spilling pollutants
over a island.
So Mario decides
to clean up the mess.
Translation normal
You got blammed for spewing up a chocolate
like substance over an island that you didn't put there.
So mario decided to clean it up using a hose and
a creature that looks like a cross between an
elephant and a camel.
Yes, Nintendo really are losing it as far as plot ideas are concerned.
Yeah, okay, their target audience is primarily aimed for the younger audience (little kids mostly), and they admit that. But there's a problem.
Little kids don't exist any more. By the time a child can talk, they're acting and thinking like teenagers, and as such they want to be treated as older than they are -- so even someone who IS technically a child would never consent to use a console that is designed to appeal to children. They'll want one that appeals to the older ones, because they want to appear big.
That's why 10 year olds sneek into 12-rated moves, 12 year olds into 15's, 15's into 18's, and so on.
Dines that is not Nintendos fault, its societs fault or our culture.
When i was 14/15 ish i thought the PS1 was great, 'relaistic' games such as Gran Turismo was great etc.
I can tell you Gran Turismo is not relaistic, drive a real life car (rear wheel drive), they behave nothing like that in gran tutismo, why do the rear wheel drive cars always understeer?
So i laugh at Kids saying "OMG OMG i cant play mariokart becuase its not realistic!" well a game is meant to be a game, so as long as they are fun, thats all that matters to me...
Nintendos falling apart, and I feel bad for all that have the gaycube this holiday season. I didnt think anyone even had that system. rehashes of mario kart cant get themselves outta the hole they have dug themselves into. The PS2 and suprisingly Xbox has surpassed the gamecube in every area. Just cuz nintendo had good systems in the past doesnt mean you should stick to it, you should play whats fun.
I played Mario Kart DD yesterday with 2 friends and it's bloody fantastic. I could have played it all night, but I had to go home for my tea (damn food, you're the BANE OF MY LIFE!)
I agree with Paul. Gamecube is NOT a cutesy console. If you want reality, then dont play games you ****s. Games are FUN- and if you dont want 'cutesy' games, then dont bash them- play your own games. (Gamecube has a lot of NON "cute" games too. Check out the master list on Ninty dot com.)
Lufu is right, nintendo are well rich, they don't need games to make money, but they go into that business because they like it. Pokemon like it or not is STILL a major shelf clearer for clothes, toys etc (as well as the popular gameboy games).
People also seem to forget that gba exists, it owns the portable market cos N-GAGE has a poor layout, poor games and is tres expensive.
Nintendo are far from going out of business. F-zero GX rules.
I don't know why everyone started calling Nintendo kiddy anyways. Does no one remember back in the 16bit era? SNES was at the top with games that ranged in all age groups. Then the GBA has similar games to that. THe N64 had ranging age games too. GC is no different. Is it because of the console casing? Or what?
The problem is, younger kids are being pressurised into growing up faster, and when their mates come round and they see they have 'Mario Sunshine', they are afraid they will be laughed at.
Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga is truly a good game nintendo made this one great me and JD (H.E.S) must of played it for 4 hours straight so if you're not sure if you wanna get it then get it because it rocks!!!!!
