Here's a question, what does a game have to do to get on the front page? Neither of my games have so far (fair enough) but some of the games that do make it on really don't seem all that special, and some take ages to make it on and turn out to be amazing. My latest game is pretty awesome (no, really), and the result of several months work, and I don't want it to be forgotten simply because it doesn't make the front page. If it's a case of DC points then honestly I'll wait and release some other games first because I really do think this one is pretty special.

as long as it has screenshots and seems pretty good at first glance it'll make it to FP, it's not fair but it's the way it has to work
and of course you can ask the admins to put it up, incase they missed it (or had no time to really try it)

this place sucks but don't tell anyone, it's our little secret, ok?
Bribing admins with chocolate always works -- coming from the guy who's never had a game on the front page

you'll need more than chocolate!
sorry if your game misses the front page, but it's really admin prerogative as to which games get there and which don't... we kind of have to make our decisions based on the screenshots, description and a couple of minutes playing, so it's no realy way to judge the quality of the game, hence whether it deserves a FP spot or not. as in the case of your game, the link wasn't working originally, so adding to the FP would have been pointless. i know it's fixed now but it's a week too late, i'm afraid.
Everyone should know the rules: Admins do NOT accept games upon request. We simply get fed up with such attempts at fame.
Basically, it depends on what is submitted. If a game looks good, we'll add it to the front page. We don't have time to download every single game we recieve here at DC, we'd all have 1000s of games. Thats why sometimes there are good looking games which appear, but aren't necessarily good.
Lets look at it another way. Say that during the duration of a week at DC, there are about 20 odd games submitted, and some look rubbish, and play rubbish (instant no-no to front page stardom), and others look good. We immediately go for the good looking ones. Games with no screenshots are definately NOT considered. All the games may well be fairly bad, but that would result in DC not being updated until there is a good game out (and lets face it, a good game...a REALLY good game here is a very rare occurrance indeed)
Thanks for answering everyone, especially those kind-hearted admins (I know how busy you guys all are, or at least I think I do). That makes real sense, since when I first released Grizzlies 2 it didn't have any screenshots and when I first released Stick Matrix the link didn't work, hence neither were even considerable. Well I'll try and get eveything right first time for Grizzlies 3! It's looking pretty good, I've sorted it out so it runs great on puny machines and amazingly it zips to under 3 megs.

Planet wars? If so then yes, it is damn good. But if you look up at the Pete and Circys posts you'll see you need screenshots. I know it can be DAMN hard to find somewhere that has direct linking, but I recommend Lycos Tripod (not Tripod at Lycos, they're different, bizzarly) as that does it.
