Okay- before any one asks ive searched and searched to no avail :-s
right the problem i have is in TGF i am trying to make a scrolling game - first i had the window size as 800x 600 but the scrolling slows right down when there are more objects about.
so i made the window smaller and smaller now its 520x340 and works fine but its a bit small. So i wondered how to make the level full screen but keep the same speed - ive seen it done in other games but i dont know if they were made in TGF as when i click 'maximised on bootup' and 'resize screen' it slows right down.
hope that explains that - im runngin 256Mbram 650Mhz so thought it should be ok

Resizing display to fit screen size slows my 1.4 GHz machine. Be warned, 650Mhz may seem like a lot for a 2d sprite based game, but TGF can be pretty inefficient.

How do some creators strech everything but it still runs fast and not all the screen is taken up. Like in Fishhead 3 and Wonderboy. The mouse pointer goes huge. And when you quit the game you quickly see the desktop and it is on high resolution???

the display object changes the players pcs resolution to a minimum of 640x480
it wont be fullscreen exactly but itl be zoomed in a lot better
you could always be a bit cheeky and ask a mmf1.5 owner to open it and save as a stand alone in fulscreen.

Getting someone to compile in MMF sounds like your best bet, I still build everything in TGF then just compile it with MMF so I can use direct X and decent fullscreen.
