Lately in TDC alot games have been worked on for a long amount of time like for example Arcadia they've been working on that game for like almost a year now? well what are the games that you think take a long time in the making.
for me-
1.Arcadia
2.JCI MindMenace
3.Can't Think of one -Empty-
Both seem like exceptionally good games with the time and effort and stuff put into them and they both have to do with 100's of mini-games which is sure to keep you busy for a while on these games the time looks like they paid off we'll have to wait to see how they turn out.
This is awesome. The post is entitled "3 long taking games." Which three? Arcadia, JCI Mind Menace, and... nothing! Now, to me, that's only two, but with only two, there'd be no poit in bringing it up! Oh, wait... there wasn't any point to begin with.
Next time, just say, "I like ham," and leave it at that.
My game production resembles premature ejaculation... I work really hard at first but release it way too early!
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.
And not a mention of ED? That game took so long to make that people thought it would never be finished. Personally, I think BES could've done it in less than a year, but sadly, they have a life.
My game, Combatant: From Peasant to Knight, took me a whole MONTH just to plan and test out the battle engine. A WHOLE MONTH. Heck, even when I was hanging out at the swimming pool, I was examining and sketching down my plans more than looking at the um... natural beauty of the area. That's obsession.
And if you include the side stuff like the cities in it, backgrounds, NPCs, re-used abandoned engines & plans, and inspiration, I could say that it's been in work for 5 years . With a lotta breaks in between, though.

Hmm... there's also The Spirit Engine, which took about 2 years. Forgot about it coz I never downloaded it. 40 MB?

Legends of Xandor, been trodding on that one and Dragon Ninja Saga II for almost 4 years! Then again I only get to work on it here and there with the demanding hours of my real job making GBA games
Funny thing is even though I have a job making games I still love clicking... its the software I swear its crack.
