is anyone interested in a Tracker/Composing program like Ejay's music generation programs, to generate a kind of mix files only useable in mmf. I mean like mod files, but with reuseable samples!
Samples will be free as beat_1.wav, bass_2.wav and such and can be reused in more mix files! The mix files will just be ini format with a dif extension, So tracking can even be done in notepad . For playing there will be an SubApplication! just place it ouside gameframe, and pass a global command to it, to make it load, play and stop songs!
I would like some feedback on this idea,,,,

would you provide the code that would need to go into MMF to play these files? sounds like a reasonable idea to me.

that would be a good program, maybe include a piano roll like many midi programs? both of those combined = awesomeness.

Read what?
I'm a little confused about all this... from what I think, you need all the .wav files to play it. Which is sort of pointless, as one of the benefits of module files is that everything's in one file.
Oh, and don't use an INI, it takes too much space. I would just use a few strings and read in the beats from there. I might make you an example.

yeah and if u have 2 mod files usaing same sample!! it takes space twice
where here u can share samples with multiple songs!
also u can do realtime effects like flang, echo, chorus, distort, pitch and so on!
example! u want the music to eacho alittle when u little mario enters the caves! Not a problem
send the command to SBS Tracker and it echoes it like u want!
then send a new command to stop it again!

It would probably be more efficient to specify the sound file from the INI or whatever... then you can have your own sounds and customise it more.
