Lol! In finland there was 'popstars' too and now there is 'idols'. The dancing style of the other finalist was kinda weird and neurotic. It made me lol. He's movements were like he had ants in his underpants.

actually, we have "idols" here in Denmark too :-/ imho, both shows are quite sucky and promote looks rather than musical talent which is a scandal..

Well, you may think you have it bad. But in the USA, we have the most craptacular of all idol/popstar shows... American Idol! Well, first oof all, everyone looks either incredibly ugly or gay. Second, the judge Simon Cowell, who supposedly has biting, witty remarks, has the intuectual capacity of a dog's ass. Third, noone can sing any good. Fourth, they all sing either American folk songs or little-kid pop songs. And finally, the judges have horrible taste. I mean, there's this wicked hot lady who can sing very well, and they don't like her. Some guy with glasses, a punched-in face, and sining that made one of the judges run out of the room won second place. So don't complain 'till you have seen American Idol--The creme de la crap of TV.
Remember, there's a little darkness in all of us... we just express it best.

we have simon cowell over here. he's about as witty as a witless sheep who's just come runner up in the whelcksfield 17th annual "most witless sheep" competition and is considering a move to tabloid journalism.
i think all he does is blindingly insult the participants - "you can't sing", "you're fat", "you're going nowhere except mcdonalds" - and they show the clips where he makes them cry.
