Hey here, just asking for suggestions which can make iDE my upcoming click multi purpose editor application (i.e. things that would make it cool, how it should look etc.) so far heres what it can do:
* MDI Interface
* 2 Styles - iDE (How its intended to look) and Windows (Compatibility if you dont like the main look)
* Ability to add your own customized editors or get them online - No longer restricted to HTML or txt editing, if theres an editor for images, it could be converted easily (if it was made in MMF of course)
* Powerful online management - Install editors direct from the net, active update checking will check each component and editor when iDE is idle to see if there are any updates.
* Plugins - the good ol system has been ported from iPublish and made more secure and flexible, with a new API and backwards compatibility with iPublish plugins.
* Compiler linking & Debugging - Editors can also tell iDE to use a compiler if they wish and debug output is displayed on the main iDE interface.
* Customizeable interface - Editors have to power to customize the look of iDE to match their function, so an image editor could add painting tools, whereas a C editor could add a button to compile etc.
Now...this seems like a lot, but im sure you'll all have ideas. The same effort will be put into this (if not more) than i did with iPublish to create this in less time, yet be faster and more powerful
I think these kinds of apps are useless but that is just my opinion. I remember some other guy making such an app it was professional presented and everything but no one ends up using it.

Yeah! Gizmostrpe does very professional apps! iPublish was GREAT!
Btw. I'm creating a autotyper app to improve my app making skills. The app is very simple, but there is lot of additional stuff etc. webupdate, translation support and maybe simple skin support....
