The Matrix was pretty horrible; the only thing it has is special effects. And I'm suprised anyone still likes Tetris, though it is fun to play competitively for a few hours .
Here's my current favorites, even if they change weekly:
Movies:
1. Shrek (funniest movie ever made)
2. Lord of the Rings [Part 1] (all the sequels were too sappy)
3. Nightmare on Elm Street (made me afraid to sleep for a whole week)
Games:
1. Mafia
2. Avernum (all 3, though my fave is the third)
3. Baldur's Gate II (not the first, not the expansion)
Music:
1. Blitzkrieg - Metallica
2. Master of Puppets - Metallica
3. Fall Down - Crownd (Also happens to be the theme song for Titans of Steel)
I do listen to other genres as well, but techno metal is still on the top of my list. I could easily list about 20 of my favorite songs, but most of them will still be metal.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
I can't speak for anyone else, but I was voting for the movie, The Matrix, not the trilogy. The second two films are average, but the first one was amazing, and anyone who says otherwise probably enjoys soap operas and reality TV.
EDIT: Fuck, I just noticed I put Evil Dead 3, when I meant Evil Dead 2.
Films

2. Terminator 2 : Judgement Day

Put him in a longboat til he's sober,
Early in the morning!
Hoo-Ray and up she rises,

My dad used to walk around the house singing that until I threatened to become a full time nudist if he didn't stop. He stopped.

Kramy, start listning to music. And don't go listning to McDonalds commercials and start listning to hip hop, I could care less what anyone else thinks about it, because it flat out sucks. It is the reality television of the Music industry. Get some KoRn, Orgy, Metallica, Powerman 5000, and Spineshank for the hard stuff, then Third Eye Blind, Puddle of Mudd, Nirvana, and Nova Social. Heck, even get some culture in there with Hitomi, George Winston, and Newsboys. The closest you can get to Hip Hop would be Seal or Daniel Bedingfield. Anyways my choices...
Movies (Not in any order)
1.The Ring (Hey, that spinning upsidown chair freaked me out, shut up. [You'd be freaked out if you walked into your bedroom and saw that])
2.Brazil (Has nothing to do with the country, but its freaky how much it is like the current day america)
3.Spaceballs(Barfolemew!)
Games (Don't play many games, I get my inspiration from the few)
1. The Clocktower Series (Screw you if you hate them... Well #2 was kind of cheezy but #1 for the SNES is so freaking freaky that it will freak the freak out of you, freak.)
2. Friday the 13th
3. Smackdown 5 and Fire Pro Wrestling 2
Music (Too Many, so I'll list 3 fav bands and 3 fav songs for each band [Kramy, take notes])
1. ORGY!!! (OMG THIS BAND IS SO KICK ASS EVEN THO THEY ARE A BUNCH OF DRAG QUEENS!)
a. Blue Monday
b. Opticon
c. Revival
2. Third Eye Blind (Alot of peeps hate them, but I like them, screw you)
a. Motercycle Drive By
b. Farther
c. Deep inside of you (Great make out song)
3. Powerman 5000
a. Super Nova Goes Pop
b. When Worlds Collide
c. Free
So yes. That is that. And if anyone who likes Hip hop and I offended you... I'm sorry but I just don't give a rats ass.
Weldone Broomie. Muse are an awesick band, I own all their albums. And anyone out there who hasnt heard of them can listen to their two previous albums and snippets from their current album right now, online!
official link here:
I dont fancy parading my favourites for you to all see, but I will, cos you asked, and Id like to see some peoples reactions. None are in any particular order.
Films:
-I can honestly not think of any really great movies Ive enjoyed lately, apart from the LOTR trilogy, which was aided by my love for the books.
Instead Ill say some films Im looking forward to:
-'Shaun of the Dead'Starring Simon Pegg from 'Spaced'
-'Hitch Hikers Guide to the Galaxy'also love the books, and am slightly more interested about the movie than excited, but we'll see, wont we. Yes
Games
For someone whose meant to make games, I dont really play much. I havent paid for a game in years, and I can honestly tell my best gaming experiences recently have been through playing klik games, or making them. Very cheesy answer, but its like Ashman says: 'Be Honest'
Muse-ic (hows THAT for a pun!)
-The (International) Noise Conspiracy- 'Capitolism Stole My Virginity', 'Smash it up', 'Up for Sale'. This is a bunch of swede-punk rockers, who I recommend to anyone interested in political radicalist, or just like swedish people.
-The Hot Hot Heat-'Bandages', 'No Not Now', '5 times out of 100', 'Touch You,Touch You', 'Get in or get out' . Great group out of Canada. After a frontman swap they have produce some truly great songs, mixing a unique blend of keyboard, guiter and vocals.
-Muse-'Bliss', 'New Born', 'Stokeholm Syndrome', 'Sunburn', 'Muscle Museum', COVER'House of the Rising Sun'. British band, and bloody good one. They went to the Big Day Out (an australian mega music festival) this year, and from what I hear, were great.
Couldnt resist adding a few more, sorry, if your a total conformist than simply close your eyes and pretend I havent added any more, please.
-The Dandy Warhols- 'Horse Size Pills', 'Bohemien Like You','Not if you were the last Junkie on Earth'. Most people should know of this band, they had a song on a car add a while ago, but should be best known for the film clip that involved only naked people, and ofcourse their tubular tunes.
-The White Stripes- just about all of their songs will do. Do I really have to describe this ameriacn duo? No, didnt think so. Weldone.
-Elliot Smith. Great musician, apart from the suicide bit.
-Radio Head. Also no explanation needed, but Id like to draw attention to some of the cover art and album art which the band itself has drawn. Very neat stuff.
Thatll do me. Ofcourse if your interested in any of the stuff youve read feel free to contact me, Im always interested to hear what you guys think of my musical tastes.
'oh yeah? he's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?'
How could you go back Citizen Erased and Plug In Baby when talkin about Muse, Istvan?
I saw them at the BDO...not to mention some other fuckin awesome bands...and I went nuts when they played those songs in particular. It seemed I was the only one who who actually recognised that Matt plays Citizen Erased on a 7 string guitar...but that's what I get for being a muso!
MUGGUS
Come and annoy me more at
www.muggus69.tk STOUT ANGER!!!
whoever made that muse site is pretty damn good with flash...!

Indeed, Kris. I dont know much about Flash, but the Muse site is awesome.
Muggus, 'Plug in baby' is another gnarly track, but with all the songs I had to remember I seemed to have forgetton it. Its neat how everyone can just listen to the albums online, without paying a cent.
As you could probably guesses, music is my greatest passion. Wouldve loved to gone to the BDO, but owell.
'oh yeah? he's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?'
I never read the LOTR books, but the movies were pretty good. At least they got better each time unlike a certain other recent trilogy (cough, the Matrix, cough).

the books themselves are too drawn out and too, urm, camp. i know peter jackson doesn't have to spend 3 chapters describing the black gate; he just shows us a picture of it, but even so, i consider the films to be much more betterer.
