Ok, it may seem like a very dumb question! Before I ask it, heres the list of popup message boxes:
- Regular
- Exclamation
- Information
- Question Mark
- Stop Sign
Some of popup message boxes have obivous uses but for example, when do I use the Regular popup message? what about the exclamation popup message box, when do I use that?

Exclamation - If the user is going to do something they have to be wary of, say deleting a file from within the app. I.e. "Are you sure you wish to remove this file? Once removed it cannot be recovered"
Information - Notifying the user something has happened - I.e. "The automatic update has finished downloding, it will now install onto your system"
Stop Sign - Error from user entry or program fault. "You cannot enter a percent greater than 100!" or "Cannot save blank file"
Question mark - Confirming "Do you wish to save the changes?"
Regular - "Boo", misc, random.
