Try reinstalling MMF, and do a virus scan. Sounds like something very dodgy, possibly virus caused, is happening. Also make sure you've got all the correct and latest drivers for everything, especially your motherboard drivers.
why does everyone assume that it's a virus? Maybe it's just a wave of French Logic™

That my friends, is a random windows shit. I've had this happen to me alot on my Win2k machine ever since I installed VC++ 6.0. That's where that debug option comes in. I personally haven't been able to fix this problem, if you can't turn up a virus on your comp, then it's best to just wipe windows and re-install.
It's not a virus, I know that for sure. It seems to only happen when I make really complicated games (300+ events). For the little ones I have no problem...

... you counted?! ...
My Windows 98 machine (with inferior memory management) can run my MMF game with hundreds of objects and around 1000 events with no problems.
It could either be down to the instability of TGF as it is 8 year old software, or it could be time to format your computer and start afresh
mabye part of your game has become corrupt
it does say "memory could not be read"
just a guess though
i get errors all the time with my tgf pro that close my app down. i just load it up and carry on with no problems 99% of the time, ans pray that ive saved in the last half hour

I wouldnt say it was a virus -- more likely it has been caused by insufficient memory (i.e. RAM) or Windows hasnt handled the process correctly. I suggest upgrading to Windows XP and upgrading your RAM (possibly also upgrade your HDD, though not as likely)... come to think of it, while you're at it, upgrade to MMF 1.5

Hmm... now that I actually look at the error message, instead of the posts, I think it's a memory problem. Probably damaged memory or damaged memory processing. And where does memory come from? RAM and hard drives! So, no, you probably don't need XP, TGF ran perfectly fine back in the days of 98.
If you're as cheap as I am, try formatting C (or whatever you keep Windows on) and reinstalling Windows. Or Linux.

Format your drive and reinstall Windows 2k and then reinstall your game making application. Save your games source to floppy disk and copy it back to TGF. Easy. Test if it works now.
