I tried to get to my website (www.geocities.com\martinbonne7) from google the other day, but no matter what i typed it didn't come up in the list. What do i have to do to get it to work? and also do you have to pay a for a song if you put it in a game/thing if you arn't making any money out of it or use only a small portion of song?
Google works differently to how most people think it works. I forget exactly how it works, so someone else can help you there.
For a click game I wouldnt recommend MP3 music anyway, but if you are using it and not making a profit from your game than I dont believe there are any legal issues to worry about, especially if your not using the entire song. I guess I can only recommend you dont use an entire album of a single artist in your game, no matter how much you like them.
'oh yeah? he's thrown a kettle over a pub, what have you done?'
I don't think Google uses META tags anymore. It just goes by the actual content. To have a higher PageRank you need to have lots of links from other sites to yours, and the content of your pages needs to contain the keywords people will search for. Also, the more links to your site, the quicker it will be "spidered" by google, although as mentioned above you can submit it manually. It takes a while for it to be added though, so don't worry if it's not there yet.
of course there's a legal issue if it's an MP3, because you shouldn't have been downloading it in the first place
not sure about proper CD albums, probably the same rule (don't use it)
