There's a game with violence, sex and nude bloody prostitutes?!?!!? Wtf am I doing playing Mario All Stars still? Oh I know why... cos it rocks!!!
Show me the power child,
I'd like to say,
That I'm down on my knees today,
Gives me the butterflies,
Gives me away,
'Til I'm up on my feet again,
I'm feeling outshined.
I think Insaniquarium rules too

People have been flaming the author for almost two years to FINISH the download version of that game
GTA3 is boring. I tried to find excitement in the missions, but they're just like wandering around with a destination. If you don't play a mission, you WILL be bored. And I think HOTU and Gamehippo are just trying to seperate from the nitpicking, flaming nature of game reviewers in this day and age. Want to play a good freeware game? Check Hippo or HOTU. Want to find a good commercial game? Look at some reviews on GameFAQs. That's what I do, and it works (mostly). And most professional reviewers are whiny kids who have been around graphics longer than gameplay. They complained about the graphics in Encounters in Space. You could see the panel lines on the MS! What more could you want? And the reviewers at Gamespot make fun of the Dreamcast since it's a dead system. Well I say, I still have one, and the games on there still rock, so they should lay off. Who agrees with me?
Yeah, Dreamcast is awesome. Street Fighter III: Third Strike is the best multiplayer fighting game I've ever played.
And GTA3 is quite fun in my opinion, even if you don't do any missions. It's frighteningly fun to run over things or beat people up in that game.
My favorite games are still Sonic 3 & Knuckles, Zelda 64 & Majora, and recently Battlefield 1942 & Vietnam.
There are still good games being made, but there are alot of crappy ones. But people have been making crappy games since forever, it's just that we only remember the really good ones.
Damn, have any of you guys seen any of the games I mentioned? All of them are superb pieces of work that I'd buy if they were still on sale (cept maybe Gladiator, fun game, but I could make better). Even today I think that Conquest of Elysium is one of the best games ever made... and it's not even on HOTU. Damn creators sold out and made that dull Dominions game for their dull publisher.

From the Download.com game submission page:
Welcome to Upload.com. Submitting your free or trial software product through Upload.com gets you listed in CNET Networks' download library, which delivers 2.5 million downloads per day. The basic processing fee is $79 to list your product in Download.com, ZDNet Downloads, and MSN Downloads. Register here.
I think that explains why there's so much commerial crap on Download.com. I mean: Who the f**k that makes freeware games pays over $79 only to get the game on Download.com?
Honestly... I'm kinda suprised Download.com didn't take advantage of the URL years ago.

my fave game of all time are Mario 64, Mario Bros 3, Mario World, Zelda 64, various Sonic games and of course Turrican.
recently my faves are stuff like Halo and Vice City (but i hate the first GTA3) but they dont compare remotely to the classics. meh the old days were mad and funny i cant put my finger on it but new games lack something. too much focus on quality methinks.
but things like this have been heard a million times before
