I've been seeing a number of PhotoShop articles and a strange thought occured to me... are there that many Photoshop users around here that they need articles for it.
Why do I think this is a strange thought. A lot of the people here complain about not getting MMF because it's too expensive, so they use TGF. But those same people are using Photoshop, which is far more expensive. Seems to me there's many kids today 'owning' lot's of expensive software.
Simple. Photoshop in internationally recognized. MMF isn't. Thus, it's easy to work for a company or get a free copy from a university and such .
And like Muggus said, Photoshop rocks. I'll probably write a few articles on it when I have the time. I've used it to turn buddies into ghosts, virtual make-up, gender changing, online hoaxes, etc. Hmm... maybe I should do another online hoax .

I bought Photoshop for a huge discount down at the RISD store in Rhode Island (but they still won't give me flash!) Anyway, I made the backrounds in Photoshop for Spyro the Pig (http://www.create-games.com/forum_post.asp?id=79009.
I've also pasted myself in space, and I've been able to make New York City into Venice (kill me if it's spelled wrong). Photoshoping stuff is fun!
Fine Garbage since 2003.
CURRENT PROJECT:
-Paying off a massive amount of debt in college loans.
-Working in television.
Oh, BTW, did I mention that you can get some of the older copies of Photoshop at a very low price on EBay? I once saw an older version going at $4, and that's after 3 bids. From a reliable source.
I've seen MMF go for prices about as low there too. Though I'm not sure if it's the old one or 1.5

Yeah, it was recommended to me by a fellow and better well known artist to go to Ebay, buy a copy of an old old version of Photoshop there, and then buy the upgrade to the latest version. The thing is, they sure do seem to sell a lot of Photoshop Limited Edition 4.0's there, and that's not supposed to be compatible with the full version upgrades.
LOL. Probably the reason there's so many of them there. Supply & demand...

I'll remember to remind anyone who uses Kazaa to download pirated programs of your statement if they were to ever make and finish a game of a quality that they would want to put on the market and then find that people are pirating it as well.
THAT is why I do not like the idea of using Kazaa or anything of the sort to get what I want for free. After all, what's worse? A $500 cost, or a $5,000,000 or however much you could get caught and sued for? O.o
if *everyone* pirated MMF, then Clickteam would be out of business. A check on clickteam.com does not say "Goodbye cruel world, we will not renew our hosting for another year 'cos we ran out of dosh!" so I assume there are some people who have bought MMF (and, in some cases, TGF an KNP too).
Adobe Photoshop is the best graphics program (in my opinion) ... however it is expensive. You said it. $500 for a program you dont make $1 using.
I dont mind companies and professional individuals paying that kind of money for commercial use, but it is expensive for us normal users. I would hope Adobe one day made a "Personal Edition" ... maybe with some of the very advanced features disabled (who use CMYK color space anyway?). I know though that it could be difficult for Adobe to control that noone used the "Personal Edition" for commercial stuff, so it is not likely to happen. Right now warez or coughing up money is the only choice.
Im am against illegal warez, however in this case I can understand if someone is compelled to use a warez version. Why? Well, if you dont make money and you cannot buy the program Adobe havent really lost anything ... on the contrary Adobe has gained some good-will and a possible buyer later on.
Klik products are so cheap everyone should have a possibility to buy em, so theres no excuse to use a warez version.
Might I remind you guys that DC laws allow the death penalty and worse on the discussion of piracy? And possible banning from all Clickteam software .
Though, IMHO, I think the fact that Clickteam charged for MMF 1.5 will significantly boost piracy on Click software. So far I've seen, people only offer pirated CT products to good friends, people on the same team, and so-called 'female klikers'.
But ever since they charged almost full price for a damn patch, what I've seen of piracy in the Click Community has skyrocketed. Almost everyone I've even asked was willing to give out serial numbers. Those who didn't thought I was a CT spy.
I'd normally whine about CT, but as an admin, I'm bound to support their capitalist actions. At least they're not charging as much as Macromedia, I'll give you that. Oh well... life is unfair. Clicking is a rich person's hobby with most of it being based in first-world countries and the internet...
And yes, I do have the real MMF 1.5. As they say, "If you know the right people, they can get you anything for free".
