Heya again guys. Here's something I've always wanted to do in games, and now have 2 games in progress that would really benifit from this.
Is there any way of changing the midi speed? I've played PC games which use MIDI music and during the game, mid-track, it'll speed it up. The pitch doesn't increase it just increases the BPM of the actual MIDI file. Pitch increasing would be welcome too(for another game I've been working on).
I haven't seen any extensions which can do such, and I'd rather not use ActiveX to do it through Media Player 9 unless I really have to(and I'd need someone to tell me how to do so as well...).
Thanks.

I'm not sure if DirectShow's speed settings will work with MIDI files, but you could give that a try.

Im sure there is a way to do this, as you can definately alter the BPM of midi's, as you can on a keyboard. Try searching articles for 'MCI'.

"I don't believe midi speed can be adjusted, without freaking out the computer"
I've seen one or two PC games where it happens. Sonic & Knuckles for PC is one.
Thanks for the tips, I'll look up MCI stuff.
