Now, this doesn't really have anything to do with TDC, but is anyone else as PSYCHED for Starfox 2 as I am???! I think it's gonna be a GREAT addition to Nintendo's products, which (excuse me for saying), haven't been so hot lately, at least not until POP 2, MP: E, and Legend of Zelda GC come out. I'm just SOOOO excited about this game, it could be THE ONE. Anyone else hyped up about SF2?

That'd be Stafox 3, or 4 if you count the SNES Starfox 2 beta.

But its actually called Starfox 2 :|

I'm not sure about it. Rare cocked up with Starfox Adventures, and this is being made by Namco, I think. Guess we should wait and see how it turns out.

Starfox 64 is absolutely not a remake of Starfox 1 (or Star Wing, here). But they can call it whatever they want.

And I don't count the Starfox Adventures cock-up, since it's really Dinosaur Planet.

Starfox 64 was renamed Lylat Wars in Europe. I heard it was because 'Starfox' was deemed too close to 'Star Wars'... yeah, so they let them change it to something even closer to that :/

In any case, I count that as a legitimate sequel to Starfox 1. Call it Starfox 3 please! ;P

It's called Lylat Wars because some dick stole the name. Personally I'd have preferred Star Wing 64, although maybe there was licensiing issues with that, too.

Mario 64 has the same basic story and characters as SMB1, that doesn't make it a remake. Gradius 3 shares the same story and levels as Gradius 1 (hell, Life Force even), ditto. Besides, the levels in SF64 were nothing at all like the SNES version besides Corneria and Venom. Show me a press release where it says it's a remake and I'll believe you.

Yes. At the end you follow his (ghost) ship out of Andross's base and escape. There was some dialogue about it too, but I forget.

The original Starfox was also called "Starwing" in Europe.

And the first boss music from it sounds exactly like Iron Maiden's "Aces High".

I just downloaded some vidioes offa IGN. Two things:

1) The arwings look fragging AWESOME.
2) If they don't get someone who doesn't suck to do Slippy's voice, I'm not buying it.
