The scariest one I've had was something about me having to fight with this guy in some heavy dark metal armor. Wouldn't normally be scary, but the thing is that it felt so real. I could feel my sword bouncing off his armor, could hear that scary deep laugh, and worse of all, every time he hit me with that armored fist, it actually hurt. It was like thing in Nightmare on Elm Street where the bruises I took from my dream was there in real life. I woke up just as that guy was about to finish me off.
The good thing at least was that it inspired my Combatant game and it's been my main motivator to finish that VR console, or at least the surround-sound headgear. I'd put a monitor on that headgear thing if only people didn't keep telling me that it would spoil people's eyesight :|.

I really don/t't remember many of my nightmares. The one I remember the best was where all these zombies came out of the closet in my room and attacked me. I had another where I got stabbed, but I don't remember what happened before that.
My coolest dream was where Mr. Pinciotti (from that 70's show) was a Jew who had been studying "killer radar guns" that used instant replay to kill people. I learned how to fly and I eventually teamed up with the robot from Wavetwisters. The only problem with that dream is that my family died in it (on a highway).

One of the only nightmares I can remember is that the space ships of "space invaders" landed on earth and destroyed everyone. With real blood and pixel shots .
Oh, and there was a nightmare in which I just walked on a bridge, when it opened. I would fall down a few kilometers before I woke up.
Yeah that lucid dreaming thing happened to me, but I couldn't keep it up and I woke up.
On another, similar note, has anyone here tried mediatating? I mean proper mediatation, sitting for hours without moving a muscle. After an hour or so, I cannot feel my body, and it's as though I can look down on myself from the ceiling. It's probably on of the weirdest, but most enjoyable sensations you can have. Also, after about an hour (I don't know how long exactly), but I can make any part of my body tingle or feel numb, just by telling myself to.
My worst dream happens right as I'm falling asleep, so I'm only half asleep, It feels like whatever I'm laying on just opens up and I start to fall so I physicly put my arms and legs out to the side to grab onto the edge to keep from falling. By that time I'm wide awake and my body is full of adrinaline so I can't get back to sleep for another thirty minutes. It's really anoying. :/

One dream I used to keep having was where I kept killing my family and eating as much of their bodies as I could but I was always full before I started eating my sister. It sounds fucking weird but I was never scared in those dreams, it was just dark and bizarre. And they always wanted to die.
Worst nightmare? I dunno, usually the ones where I'm being chased by something but my feet have no traction or I just can't open my eyelids and see what's after me or where I'm going.
i once dreamt this guy was talk to me, like a tour guide would. Showing me around and stuff. We quickly got to a point where he showed me 3 small pits with different colored acid in each. Each pit also had a skeleton that had gotten its skin burned away, and these skeletons were screaming. Also, there was a spider web made of acid (heh), also with a skeleton in it.
The tour guide asked me to pick which one i wanted to go in.
The funny thing is, this dream made it feel like a normal everyday thing...
Hmmm...scary dream... The oldest dream I remember was when I was three...a coat hanger attack me. I must have been really screwed up.
I remember a dream where there were giant spiders on some playground (I was in 4th grade. They were chewing up all of the children. Again, I'm screwed up.
But a recent dream was with zombies or something...I think it was just after I saw Dawn of the Dead (remake). They were chewing on me. I woke up, and it was like a joke.
Fine Garbage since 2003.

"There is a technique called lucid dreaming, which is when you dream but you know you are dreaming."
i get that all of the time, i even decided to jump out of my bedroom window knowing i was dreaming and i just hit the ground on my chest and got up again sounds weird but i didnt know if i was dreaming but i obviously wouldnt jump out the window if i was awake. Once i tried to really focus on a door handle in a dream to see how realistic they are but i usually start to wake up and never get a good look.
i used to have nightmares about tigers/dogs attacking me, it wasnt scary really but i couldnt hurt it properly like pucnhing and kicking was like trying to run in dreams.

"I once heard that if you die in a dream, your body functions stop or slow down in reality."
I don't know, in my nightmares (that I seem to be having every other week) I am in a school bus that is falling off a cliff. It hits the ground, and I die. I end up walking around dead in my dream, which is usually spent trying to get people to see me.
I have died over 6 times by now, so my body fucntions should be working in reverse now. Is this a problem?

How often do you guys dream in 2D or cartoons? I dream in 2D quite often, usually they look like RTS's. Such as this one time where I was dreaming like starcraft.
