As you may or may not be aware I am making a multiplayer version of FX2, and I'd like to have some voice acting for it. Just short lines like "Hello" "Yes sir" "I need a medic". The problem is I sound like a New Zealander and anyone playing the game will like laugh at my attempts. Is there anyone who can record some voice samples that don't sound stupid? If you do the whole set I will pay you for your trouble when the game is complete.
Sure. Right now its only a deathmatch with a couple of weapons, but another tester would be appreciated. Give me some contact info and I can organise a game.
I didn't know there was anything in the Circy games apart from moaning. He's giving it a shot though, I'd like two voice sets if possible, one for the heroic blue team and one for the murderous red team

To be honist, I would help, but #1, my mic isnt good, & #2, I wouldnt be able to do voices that people wouldnt laugh at. I donno how to record my voice & sound like I mean business. I'm too used to trying to make people laugh (& it works to).
I can do military voices. I was at one point going to make a pack of all the CS voices so people wouldn't have to resort to using those when their game calls for people to yell "MOVE OUT!" every twenty seconds. Then I didn't. True story.
There's an example here:

Can you record some more samples Radix? It's pretty good, but it's hard to judge from only one sample. Anyone else who thinks they can do anything, please post it here.
It's just a sample, some white noise and a few filters that I paste in. The ordinary filter is just a lower sample rate and depth (which also saves space, handy) and a couple of filters. I don't remembe which off the top of my head.
I'll do some military ones this afternoon after I've had my macaroni.
Thanks for doing those Radix, I've got two suggestions: You can hear your breath on the microphone, and your tone is a bit too anxious and eager, can you make it a bit more macho soldier?
Also, I need people for alpha testing. If you have MSN and a 3D card and want to do some multiplayer testing you can add me at: hamish at faind dot com.
Well, I was trying to be quiet because there were people home and I didn't want to seem wierd. I'd do noise reduction when I apply filters, ordinarily, but you said you didn't want them. I have to anyway, you can hear my laptop fan when I don't.

Okay, I've done the commands and requests in a generic commander-dude voice (noise-reduced this time, and less 'eager' although it's hard to do quietly in my room), I'm not exactly sure how to approach the responses. I also don't have ftp access at the moment, so I've uploaded here:

for the moment. If that doesn't work I'll email if you can give me an addy.
