I don't think people here criticize, but they just say what they think.
The rather bad part is that they focus on what people can't do, instead of what people can and how they can move forward.
Just tell me what you think of this community as a starter, is it helpful or not?
Do you learn a lot, are people willing to help, or are they just bashing?
And of course i would like to hear the people who disagree with me.
They would get help if they learnt how to ask for it, like Roy for example, he is a newbie and he asked a decent question now everybody loves Roy, he is the daily clicks #1 newbie.
Id say all the information a newbie needs is there in the community somewhere. However its not easy to find.
I don't think ive ever found the pallete object for the games factory but it must be around somewhere.
This looks headed to be another "omg wtf the community is dying" post.
If you need help, you're best off on the Clickteam forums. You'll get a good response in a day or two, plus topics usually stay on topic, there are no bashers, and nobody will be nasty (it's well moderated).
It's a, er, slightly different story here on TDC, or at least is has been for a long while, but Shadow's back and things may begin to change.
I dunno, think it's human nature to laugh at people who can't do what you could do. Prob is, it just sounds mean over the internet.
Disclaimer: Any sarcasm in my posts will not be mentioned as that would ruin the purpose. It is assumed that the reader is intelligent enough to tell the difference between what is sarcasm and what is not.
it's nature for 13 year olds. there should be a minimum age filter!
PS. I used to be like that so I'm not trying to exempt myself

I don't care whether or not people are n00bs, but I treat all asshats the same. I try to offer constructive criticism when I can, but when they're like "OMFG MY GAIM IS BESTE EVR!!! YOUrs ARe suc," I will deliver apon them sweet ownage.
No, I think you misunderstand. It's like a quote from Apocolaypse Now, with a word slightly changed.

Noobies are fine as long as their posts on the code-it boards look like this:
Custom platform movement help
I am not sure how I should go about programming a custom movement engine for my upcoming game. I have seen other people's games using custom movements and I would like to know how to program these. If anybody knew where to find some tutorials or could help me that would be appreciated.
Thankyou.

Did I triple post? Because if I did it was because my internet was stuffed up so I had to keep refreshing and I didn't know if the webpage was loading. Sorry.
I think if you go back to the 'thanks for submitting' page your post will post again. Ive had double posts and think this is the cause. But then how the heck can you make a triple post? pushing the reply button three times!?
When it comes to newbie games, I try to give as many tips on making it better as I can, but alot of times people thinking I'm being rude, or nothings good enough for me.
