FIG (Floating Islands Game) is a project I've been working for almost half an year. Your objective is to lead a helpless guy through 35 islands. The game is a bit like lemmings: the guy just walks forward, turns when meets a wall and gets stuck in places and killed by various traps. this time, however, you can't do anything to the guy directly, you can just interact with the other items on the island. The game is in my opinion this far my best game (project) ever, and I hope people will like it. I've tried to pull away the standards of level designing with Multimedia Fusion, and I like quite much how the levels look now. This should be ready on summer holidays, though I don't know if it is or not really ;D.
Everything is going great! Johan just sent me the music of the first levels, and it sounds awesome! I thought I could put here a link to the menu music so you could listen jow awesome composer Johan is!
Also, I've been doing some huge improvements in the graphics and the levels. I've added more animals here and there and finally made some shading. Here's an example for how much better it looks:
As you see, level 2 really looks better now (at least IMO).
I'm going to do some more updates to everything (I must add many more animals there, the levels are too empty still).
Sooo, just finished the last level, called The End!
I'd like to release the game right away, but there's still things to be done. Johan Hargne will do the musics for the game, praise him to the skies! He just sent me the main menu music and it's godlike! Other than the musics, I have still do the credits-pages (1 normal, 1 special and 1 secret), remake the tutorial entirely and do some little improvements to the levels (finally decided to add some little bits of shading here and there; it looks really nice!). But at least the levels are now mainly ready.
This last level really deserves to be the last and the only one with 5 stars IMO. I think I managed to make it quite epic, but we'll see.
There's a secreenshot that can maybe tell a bit what can be waited.
Roar! The second-last level is ready! 34 came out quite easily, though the original idea I had for this level transformed a bit during the creation. Now just to the last level! And when it's done, we can all start to wait for the muzaks and other nice cool improvements!
