This is a preview of my (possible DC comp entry) game Termination Timeline Arena.
In the multiplayer game you will play against computer or human players (at the same time) in a number of arenas, each with a different style. I am working on a very complex AI system for the computer players, but only time will tell if it will actually work with multiple players in an arena.
I have also planned for 8 different weapons which can be picked up in the game, including attacks such as hand to hand combat (when you have no guns) and Roll. There are also going to be 8 different powerups such as springs and ultra speed.
There will also be many different playmodes, which will include Deathmatch, Duel, Punch Up and Paintball Arena. I am also planning for around 10 multiplayer mini games as unlockables in the single player game, just as a bonus, and an incentive to keep playing.
The single player game will be a lot like Destruction Carnival, with enemies spawning from different positions around the arenas, and you must fend them off, but they can also pick up any powerups that fall magically from the sky. There will be other things to unlock as well. In multiplayer, you will start with 5 levels, and every single player level you get to (probably 24 in all) you will unlock that arena in multiplayer, there will also be other levels to unlock when you find out secrets in the single player game and the mini games.
I am doing the final testing on the player engine, and will set to work on the AI engine when I get back from going away.
