Project Overview
Preview I S L A N D is a point and click comedy adventure game, much like the classic Monkey Island series of the early 90s (which partially inspired this game).

Benji Rosenbloom is your average Joe on a plane journey minding his own business. However, his confidence in the safety of air travel is suddenly challenged when his plane crash lands on an island in the middle of nowhere and he finds himself to be the sole survivor. Initially disoriented, Benji soon befriends a young woman named Lola, one of a group of survivors of a shipwreck which occured on the island some number of years prior who have now come to make the island their home and learned to live at peace with a group of primative island natives.

I S L A N D puts you in the shoes of Benji, who, with Lola's help, must learn to integrate with both the Shipwreck survivors and the natives, whilst in the meantime searching for some way home, avoiding a band of incompetent pirates attempting to bully the island's people, and discovering a series of bizarre truths about the island.

As a graphical adventure game, the player must guide Benji through a number of scenarios he faces on the island, interacting with people and objects in his environment in order to make progress. I S L A N D promises challenging puzzles, and a humourous storyline to keep the player intrigued as he explores the island.

URGENT - I am currently looking for a midi musician to help me make music for this game! Please contact me if you think you can help and would like to get involved in creating music this game!

More information and screenshots (in addition to those posted below) may be found on the game's official website.

The game is currently looking at a December 2009 release (Yes, it will be free!)

P.S. Some of you may remember me as Seph, who developed a series of adventure games called Thod a few years ago. I know the games weren't without their bugs, but I like to feel my skills have improved since then

Peace

- Joee

This game is basically finished. I'm just waiting for my two main testers to finish another run through the game, report back to me and I'll upload it.

If I don't hear from them by Christmas Eve, then I'll upload it then anyway
Music finished!

The title says it all, really. The music's finished, and so just the debugging remains.

There's fairly large bug involving text speed that I'm working on, and then the project should be ready.
Almost finished!

Okay folks, sorry for infrequent updates, but the game is entering its final stages. All thats really left is the opening and ending credits, half the background music/sound (which I'm now doing myself) and some dialogue which will probably need re-writing since some of it was kinda hurried in order to meet my own deadlines!

This game WILL be finished late December / early January.

For now, I've added three new screenshots for your brief enjoyment.
Trailer and new screenshots

I have just released a trailer for the game, which featured in the last Klikcast. The trialer may be viewed on the official I S L A N D website.

The website also features three new screenshots. More to come!

The game development is coming along nicely. It's pretty much programming and music that's left to do. I've programmed the game up to about the half way point in the story now, so it shouldn't take me too much longer! I'm foreseeing that the bug fixing will have to be quite thorough and therefore quite time consuming, though, due to the complexity of the non-linearity of the gameplay.
