Where as most puzzle games on the internet tend to be clones of other successful games, Fusion Rocket is my attempt at making a successful game that is ORIGINAL.
The gameplay is vaguely in the realm of Chuzzle or bejeweled, but quite different.
The concept of Fusion Rocket is that you operate a Fusion reactor, smashing crystals together to charge them up to the point where they are converted to energy, while also charging the crystals nearby.(creating chain reactions)
Chain reactions are key to the gameplay. Matches are easy, and the larger the chain, the more power and score you get.
This game was originally titled Fusion Rocket Alpha, as my original concept for the game was different, and this game was initially created with the plan of ironing out the gameplay before tackling the bigger more advanced version which I hope to someday release as Fusion Rocket 2.

It took me a long time to get a sponsor. I guess flash game sponsors actually like sponsoring copycat games, play-alikes and clones of games that are already popular. Oh well.
Anyway, after having finished this project and taking a step back to look at it, I'd say it's a great game, but doesn't quite have that special "hook" that get's people interested. Maybe that's because you have to take a 30 seconds to figure out how it plays first... or possibly because everyone who sees gems onscreen automatically assumes it's a bejeweled clone, then get frustrated because it's not.
Basically, the new demo has:
The animated studio Piņa logo
Placeholder title screen
Story intro
How to play
Lots of planets to visit
Combo Meter
variable level difficulty (mostly under the hood)
To do:
Properly balanced gameplay
LOTS more planets to visit
Sound
More visual flair (explosions, ect.)
