Dogwarz is a little platformer, where you are a little dog (Surprise surprise) who basically has to prevent a war between the dog clans of a planet. An important artifact has been stolen, and your clan has been blamed. You must track down the artifact and get it back to it's owners, in order to quell there anger at it's theft, and to prove your own clan innocent.
You have a gun which fires bullets and Rockets (with ammo becoming very rare on later levels), you can hang from railings, swim, and use little hover boards turning it into more of a side on shooter at some points.
Dogwarz has what I feel is a fairly novel scoring system. Killing enemies and collecting some items like extra lives will give you lots of points. However, die, or pick up a health pack, and you will lose a large about of points. You even lose a few points should you be too inaccurate with your gun. In order to unlock later stages you must get high scores by basically playing the other levels very well, so the game isn't that hard, until you start trying to master levels to unlock later ones. Well anyhow, it's an experiment
And just for fun I've bunged some tunes from the original Jazz Jackrabbit in, as I was so disappointed at not being able to play that game again on modern PCs, I thought I'd use it's music to console myself
