Ok, well first of all, I used to really be into Klik. Years have gone by and my interest level dropped completely. But a renewed faith in the underground game making industry spawned this little creation of mine.
You play as Preston, an angry young punk and resident of Edinboro PA. Sporting a green mohawk and AFI t-shirt you take to the mean streets to cause some trouble. In doing so you stumble across various people and are sent on missions. The story is just that. This is not an indepth RPG designed to take up hours and hours of your time but rather an action RPG good for a little fun and a laugh. All battles happen in real time as in any action oriented game. Humor is also a large basis for this game. Most of the missions are completely crazy and outlandish.
The game will feature:
- Many weapons including your fist, baseball bat, knives, rocks, scissors, dymanite, and a gun.
- Bonuses including Alcohol(which changes your weapon to vomit temporarily) Marijuana(which makes you run faster) and Mushrooms(just for kicks)
- 10+ missions
- A map actually based loosely on the town of Edinboro
- 10+ classes of enemies ranging from Police to Ducks to Giant Robots to The Evil Dead
The game will take on a 2D top-down view and may feature scrolling(I'm not sure yet). I've worked out a small version of the first two missions without scrolling and started working on a scrolling version as well. Preston as well as many NPCs in this game are based on real people that I know here in Edinboro. I even make an apperance in the game.
Please comment on this, I would love to hear what people think. And note that this is very early in development so most everything is subject to change.
