Project Overview
A few of you may remember the demo i posted for this a long time ago. Well, forget it.

What used to be a fun platform game has now turned into an epic adventure. After a brutal plane crash on an island, the hero must adventure across the island.

Will he escape?
Will he survive?

You decide.

However, there is a lot more to the island than initially meets the eye. What you discover depends on your bravery and sense of adventure, the deeper you explore, the more you will find. Will you explore the abandoned temple, or just hike up the mountain to see what's up there? Either way, it won't be long before you're accompanied by a group of small critters. These guys will be incredibly useful to you, if you use your brain.

This is one adventure which will be different every time. Events that take place may open up new areas, or block off areas that may have been useful to you. You may face giant monsters, or maybe you'll just be carefully treading through an ancient city full of traps. Just enjoy exploring Tuki Tuki Island, and hopefully you'll escape in one piece.

Game editor
Posted 19th Nov 07, by -Nick- 4 Comments
I have finally got the game working with a level editor, instead of MMF2s standard editors. This means lots of things.

Firstly, after the game has been released, i may release the editor also. It works inside of MMF2 however, so you will only be able to use it if you have a copy.

Secondly, it means i will be free to make additions to the game, adding new areas etc. While i plan the game i may create area's which are blocked off, which i will make at a later date. This could range from a little cave adventure to something a little more exciting... I just don't know yet, but it would be great if i do get around to that.

While making the transition between standard MMF game and nice level editor game, the game itself had a little bit of work done to it. The weather effects now look spectacular compared to before, and the transition from day to night is a lot smoother. A 24 hour cycle in the game will take 48 minutes in our time, which gives you plenty of time to get somewhere if you had something planned for a specific time. You don't take a clock with you when you start your adventure, so you'll have to try and judge the time by the sun's position. If it's cloudy, then it may prove a little problematic for you. Tough luck .

If anyone has any questions I'd be happy to answer them in the little forum section here, although don't expect me to be giving away too much.

Tuki Tuki Island went through an enormous change for what i thought was the best. But recently, I sat back and took a look. It wasn't really what i wanted. It had turned into an over complex Metroid style game, which it was never meant to be.

So i took out everything i didn't want. Now it's just down to you, the Tukis and the island. Nice and free roaming. You can do what you want until you complete the game, your way.

Oh, and that beautiful art of the waterfall is by Dr. James!
