Review: Curling 2018

Time for a review again.
When I saw the screenshot of the game on the front page, I really didn't expect much of the game. I got a bit confused on how rocket boosters and curling could ever fit in the same game, but I was in for a bit of a surprise.

Presentation:
When you start the game you are immediately thrown right into the game. I don't think that there are that many people who read the txt file before starting the game and therefore a meny in the game would be something to prefere. Alot of the info in the txt file could of have been choices in the meny like for example the controls and the story. But on the other hand the txt file include all the necessary information for the player.

Gameplay:
I was very curious to see how you had solved the problem of not only making the stones go straight forward with various power. Here is were the boosters fit in. The boosters allow you to steer the stone when it is in motion. This adds much fun to the gameplay and the engine that makes the stones bounce into each others and so on works very well. The scoreboard is easy to understand and you quickly learn how the game is played. The only bug I found was when boosting in high speed right before an impact which made my stone glide through on of the computers stones.

Graphics:
Since their isn't alot of graphics it's pretty hard to decide. The stones animations and everything on the scoreboard pretty much serves its purposes but there really isn't much to it. The ice looks pretty basic and maybe some reflexes or something could be made to enhance the graphics. Altogether the graphics works fine with the gameplay and there isn't something that bothers or annoys you.

Sound and Music:
Actually i think their is like 3-4 sounds in the entire game and the pretty much fit in. No music is played while playing the game which i think is a good thing. Curling is a sport of concentration and requires silence (even if it's played on a computer

). Maybe you should of have found another rocket booster sound, because rocket boosters doesn't sound like that.

Lastability:
Personally I think this game has one of its strongest feature here. The game doesn't get boring that fast because of all the strategy the game requires. Playing against different friends and people with different styles makes the game a new challenge every time. Also I think the computer is pretty well coded even if it's easily beated.

Overall:
I think this is a very good game actually with a nice gameplay. The game requires tactics and consideration aswell as good handling with the controls. I think this is a well made mini-game with good lastability and I recommend other people downloading it. It's much more fun than watching curling on TV, that's for sure
