As a big fan of the original Project 053, I was anticipating this game for quite some time. Luckily, it's as good as I had hoped it would be. The game is very straightforward, you are in a little hover bike, and you must collect coins and dodge enemies. Seems simple enough. Of course, it's harder than it seems because you are constantly given different routes to choose. You can always take high routes or low routes, and though the low routes are easier, they aren't as rewarding as the high routes. So you must make split second decisions to choose up or down. Being greedy, I always choose the high routes. The games menus are simple to navigate through and look good. The game runs really slow fullscreen on my comp, but windowed it works fine, so thumbs up for that option. Speaking of options, you can change the color of your bike, and turn the music on or off. Because I can get sick of hearing the same tune over and over in a game, being able to turn the music off is a big plus in my books. Not saying that the music is bad... actually it's great! The musicians did a great job with the music, and so far I still have it going on in the game. As with most of his games, Akira's graphics shine, making everything in the game look really sharp and just lifting it up from an already good game to a great game. The bike looks great and when the characters hair flows in the wind from the speed it looks great, as does the dash effect. Everything just looks great. So in the end, I have to hand it to Akira and everyone else involved in the production of the game (musicians, testers, etc). Great game that is very addictive (I'm always playing it when I'm talking to friends on msn), and another Natomic classic. Highly recommended.
