Alright, before I start this review, I think I should take the time to say that it's about time someone made an old school brawler! Games like Final Fight, Streets of Rage, and Golden Axe are sorely under-represented around here.

Anyway, on to the review.

PRESENTATION-- 8
Not bad here, the title screen is nice and colorful, and it begins to set the mood for the entire game. The in-game cutscenes are also fairly well put together, though no text really accompanies them to show you what's going on.
On a side note I did get a kick out of the use of the 16-bit Konami logo screen. Clever. =D

GAMEPLAY-- 8
Pure, simple, beat-em-up enjoyment. I love these kind of games, and it's good to find a klik game that managed to duplicate the feeling for me. There were some times when the same enemies would show up again and again, but it didn't detract from the experience. Also, the combat system and a few animations were a bit slow, or choppy, but you get used to it within a matter of minutes.

GRAPHICS--6
Visually, the game appears as average, the main character and the enemies stand out well against the backgrounds, but the colors seem a bit dull at points. Also, as I'd mentioned before, the animations can be a bit choppy, if a few more frames of animation were there it wouldn't have been a problem.

SOUND AND MUSIC-- 8
This is one of the games highpoints. The music, while not too complex, seemed to fit with many of the environments, and from what I could tell, they were original compositions (I don't know this however, they may just be songs I've never heard before). All the sound effects fit quite well too, the enemies yell when they are defeated, and everything else just has a 16-bit quality going for it.

LASTABILITY-- 7
I loves my brawlers, so this game has some staying power for me. It would have been nice if you had more than one life to go on and a continue or two, but it doesn't kill the experience at all. Just realize that when you die, it's game over, man.

OVERALL-- 8
Great job with this one MIG2. You managed to delve into a genre rarely seen with this program, and managed to create one of the most memorable klik experiences I've had in a while.
