Brainless is really one of those games you shouldn't expect too much from. There's no great story and not a single riddle - mostly, there aren't even platforms: you just run in one direction, pushing the shooting button as often as you can. Nevertheless, this game is really cool! The gfx just rock, I really loved the soundtrack and the humour is just as cynical as I like it. The first level starts by running over about 10 guys in a row with your car, braking all the time and stopping in front of a little cat. The comment of your character: "Phew, that was close". There is a hell of a lot of blood all over the game, but everything is so exaggerated that you can nothing but laugh about it. However, the gameplay still can be improved: You can't shoot diagonally without moving and you die a thousand deaths because there are hundreds of enemies - and you're dead after being hit only once. Of course there are unlimited continues, but it's a fast game and everytime you die, there's a break that doesn't have to be there. But the engine seems to be well done and you soon get a feeling for your character. All in all, this game is really something for people that don't want to think about what they play. If you like the kind of humour this game uses and you want fast action, this is a must have. Everybody else should at least look at it once.
