Simple, neat graphics and a truly Jonny Comics-style intro. The controls are very simple but are never explained so it took a bit of guessing on my part to figure them out. Not much of a story to speak of, but this isn't an adventure game or RPG, so that isn't very important here.

Very simple "dodge the obstacles of death" style gameplay, but also very polished and fun. I admire the level design as each new area presents a new gameplay element or a new challenge. Somewhat slipshot hit detection and minor gameplay quirks (like the fact that you can't touch a hammer while its moving regardless of whether you're getting pressed against something or not) bring some cheap deaths and frustration, but nothing bad enough to ruin the fun.

The dialogue screens are well drawn, and all the objects have a quaint and clean feel to them. I also like the details that were added to the levels to make them less sparsely decorated. The physics and the way your character bounces around after getting crunched or bashed is always entertaining. You get used to having just the bare necessities of graphics in Klik games, but this one was a breath of fresh air.

The intro music served its purpose, and although the incessant ticking of the in-game music gets a little redundant, it also fits the game. The sound effects are decidedly oldschool, but charmingly so.

I'm not the kind of person to retry a game ten times over to get "the highest score", so one time through was enough for me. That said, This game is actually a demo of sorts, so it is over pretty quickly.

A solid game overall. Worth trying out to see how simple gameplay mechanics and clever level design can still add up to a good game. I look forward to playing the full game/next part of the game.
