The presentation is good. I liked the cutscenes that played as transitions to the next world every time you finish one. Nice touch!

The gameplay is good, but there were a few things that bothered me. Let's start with the positives! It's pretty straightforward. Just like in the first Slimy, all you have to do is dodge the enemies and hazards, but the difference between the first Slimy and this one is that the first game was more of an arcade game whereas this one is more of an adventure game and that there is more than one screen which I thought was a nice change of pace, and I really liked the variety. I also liked how each level has a different enemy or hazard pattern so that it doesn't become too repetitive, and I even found some levels which were tough to beat, but it was nice to see some challenge thrown in. However, this is where my problems start to arrive. First of all, there should have been a collision and hit boxes because it was not a very good choice to make the sprite itself both the collision and hit boxes since you become such a huge target for the hazards, and combined with the small screen size, it makes it near impossible to beat the levels. Sometimes I also go over to the edge of the screen and because the sprite does all of the collisions, you get stuck for a little bit until the sprite changes animation so that you can continue moving, and that's why there should have been a collision box, that would have made the game so much easier to play. Also, there seems to be some sort of inconsistency when it comes to the game's difficulty. Some levels are easy, some levels are hard, which I think it's pretty weird, don't you think that the first few levels should be easy and the later ones hard? It's not a huge problem, but it's just a thought :P Another thing that should have been improved was the acceleration and deceleration of the movement. You start at somewhat of a low speed until you start picking up some speed as you keep on moving, but once you stop, you slip for a little bit which made it hard to avoid the hazards because you stop moving and you start slipping towards them and end up getting hit and have to start the level again. One last thing, there should have been lives or health to make it much easier to play because you die with ONE HIT and that I didn't like.

The graphics are good. As advertised, the game has hand drawn sprites and animation which I thought was nice change for your graphics, and it also reminds me of Cuphead, which is a game filled to the brim with hand drawn sprites and animation. I especially liked how the graphics and animations looked like those animations used on some music videos from like MTV or something like that, which I think is pretty cool.

The music was ok. It did feel very atmospheric in some levels which was nice, but I suddenly getting tired of hearing the same songs over and over again and I wish there was more music variety. Sure, the music does change when you enter a new world, but since each world has its own music track, it just keeps on repeating over and over again when you are playing the levels which became a bit annoying. And as for sound effects, there were only a few, but they do fit the game really well.

The lastability is good. There are nine worlds to play on with ten levels each, so it will keep you busy. It took me about an hour to beat the game because I was struggling to beat some levels in World 7, but I was still able to make it to the end.

Overall, Slimy 2 is alright. It's definitely better than the first one, but could have been better. The gameplay has its ups and downs, but for what it is, it's not too bad. Good effort, MonadoBoy64! ;)
