The Daily Click ::. Downloads ::. Review Review: Mario's Nightmare v1.2
Mario's real nightmare is to play this game. Presentation Not much to be seen here. There's basically 3 drawings in the whole game; a Mario sprite which only faces left or right, a skull and the website logo. There's no background neither, just a black screen. Very poor showing. The only good part of the game is the Mario music, which sounds exactly like the original NES theme. Gameplay The aim of the game is to control Mario and make him avoid a bunch of skulls travelling through the screen. The gameplay area is so wide and Mario's so small that you barely ever need to move to avoid the skulls, apart when those huge swarms of skulls appear at all sides of the screen at once. The game quickly gets boring due to it's poor gameplay and the fact that there's no real twist added the longer you survive. You just stand somewhere and let the skulls pass besides you for as much time you can bear the game. Yippie. Lastability I barely see anyone hooked on this game. A single play through the game will make your mind about exiting the game right away. Overall Mario's Nightmare is a nightmarish game, but not in a good way. It just is a nightmare to play. Boring gameplay and boring graphics makes this game an immediate entry to the recycle bin. Maybe the game would be more interesting if you've added real gameplay through this game instead of simply avoiding skulls and made a good storyline. As for now, do not download this game unless you're like me and are irresistibly attracted to badly-made games.
