Epi's got quite a tough job fixing these computers...can he make it despite a quirky platform engine? Presentation The graphics of this game are in the old school style, and that's a cool thing. Long live old school! The music is unfortunately non-existant, but the few sound effects of this game really rule, especially the little square tunes which play when dying or completing a level. Gameplay This game is really fun, but it's really laid back by the default platform engine bugs. The ice levels were one hell of an annoyance and moving through these levels was pure hell. Springboards also were a pain to use, as it may take time to reach the place you wanna jump up to. There were times which my character wouldn't stand on a moving platform after I jumped on it and ended up in the spikes. ARRRGH! Despite all these troublesome engine bugs, I still got hooked on the game. The purposes of it is to reactivate the computers in each level while avoiding nasty no-gooders, flamethrowers, spiders, spikes, water, fire or ice drops, and even nasty handymen which breaks computers you've fixed up. You can get hold on some wrenchs to beat the enemies and handymen in some levels. Just when you'll have your load of the high difficulty setting of the game (which is mainly due to the bugs), try your luck in the arena! You can get a load of those wrenches and concentrate in beating up these handymen! Both classic and arena modes are cool to the play, even with the many engine's problems. Lastability The normal game mode is pretty long (45 levels!) and you'll be busy for a while before you finish all these levels. The arena will also keep you busy and entertained. Overall Computer Handymen is a great game which has been unfortunately sabotaged by some annoying glitches and bugs. If the engine wasn't all quirky, this game would have probably got a 10/10. It is still pretty fun nonetheless, and I encourage you to try that game out. It's pretty addictive.
